Do you make or buy your tools?

I usually make them cause they usually break half way through me doing something and it’s less faff to pull out my crafting table than go to the shop. Either way I hate it and wish the stupid feature was never included in the game

I buy all my tools that are purchaseable. I will start making them again just to get the completed nook miles though when I play again.

I've been buying and not making tools for while now. It's just so...tedious. Plus I prefer the cute tools that you can't craft like the elephant watering can or the star net. I keep spares in my pockets and then restock when one of them breaks.

I'd say I do both fairly evenly, if not leaning a bit more on the side of buying them from Nook's Cranny. If not 50/50, it's probably 60/40 in favor of just buying them. It's usually just up to how I'm feeling at whatever specific moment in time.

I used to craft them as well but now injustt buy them. I rather save the crafting materials for items.

I almost always make my axes, but the rest are kinda 50/50. Usually I try to customize tools to make them last, but if I forget and one breaks, it depends what I have in my pockets. If I've got the materials to make a tool (only ever branches, stones, and maybe iron nuggets; I don't really hit trees anymore) and am near a DIY bench, I craft. Otherwise, I just go buy it from Timmy and Tommy. Shovels sometimes I'll buy in bulk if I have a lot of flower purging to do.

I make them. I would love to purchase the cute fancy ones but they'll break too quickly. The one thing i think i really dislike about this game is the breaking tools. I wanna buy a beautiful pink star net from Timmy and Tommy but not if it'll one day break and break my heart with it! :(

I usually make mine because I think I can still get some Nook miles for it, but sometimes I get too lazy/frustrated or one of the tools in the shops looks cute so I'll buy one instead.

I like the ones sold at Nook's but I'm crafting them for now until I get that 3,000 tools achievement haha.

i make everything except my net. love me some cute star nets.
though i usually use a customize pack and change the color of my net after a good amount of uses so my precious star net wouldn't break.
acting as if i don't have a stock of back up star nets in my storage lmao.

I always buy them, I really love the nets!! I also like the look of the fishing rods and shovels
but I guess I should make them more often to complete the tools achievement >.<
except for the net, I'll always use a star net ^-^

The only ones I'll make are axes. Mainly when I'm island hunting for villagers and to collect regular wood during that time to change up the pace a bit. Otherwise I purely buy my tools. The first time I saw the star nets for sale, I knew I was never going to craft another net. :)

I reset and havent progressed very far in order to get the nookling upgrade so I am mostly crafting my tools c:
However once I get back my precious cute tools I will most likely go back to buying them more than crafting!

I was buying for most of my tools until I looked at my nook mile achievements and there's one for crafting 2k tools and there's another level above that. I buy everything but I just craft the flimsy rods and bug nets now.

I crafted them myself for the longest time until just recently. It's starting to become tedious so I usually just buy them now. I also enjoy the different styles you can buy such as the star net and flower patterned shovel.

I buy anything that I can. I don’t like the whole crafting aspect. I wish we had the option to buy the materials when we don’t have it, or to craft using bells.

I was buying them a lot but now I am trying to craft them more often so I can get that nook miles achievement.. I wish we could craft the fancy ones sold in Nook's Cranny!
