I used to love them! My favorite was Nitro here at Six Flags in NJ. I even went on Kingda Ka but it wasn't a great experience, the ride itself is boring aside from the fear factor and I got really bad whiplash or something :S it's put me off coasters since then; I just don't feel like spending the rest of the day walking around a hot, crowded park with my neck and back a mess lol...
I think that they're alright. It's just when they have high drops or are upside-down that makes me not a fan of them. Other than that, they're a blast.
I love them, which is a little surprising given how prone I am to motion sickness. Roller coasters never bothered me.
My only thing is that I prefer to be strapped in. I don't want my legs dangling and I want one of those things that settle over your head and shoulders if I'm gonna be upside down. I have a stupid fear of falling clean out of the car.
I was never particularly fond of them and I actually found them to be quite daunting. It was only around this time last year when I was dared to go on one of the enormous roller coasters, the type that throw you in all directions. You wouldn't believe that I actually wanted to go again after the first time because I enjoyed it that much. My biggest fear was if I felt uncomfortable and there was no turning back once on the ride -- I'm not the type to take on any risks. I'm very cautious that way!
I adore roller coasters, which is ironic considering that I get carsick. My favorites are the ones that let your feet dangle, and turn you upside down. I don't know, it's just so exhilarating. I guess they're just more fun than long, monotonous car rides.
im scared of the really big ones. i can ride the ones that go sorta fast but they make me sick if im on for too long. generally i dont like them though
i used to be so scared that it'd take a lot of forcing for me to get on one but i always enjoyed it in the end so one friend kept collaring me to go on them and now i love them. heck, i'd still ride the smiler next time i go to alton towers if the queue isn't 2 hours long like the first time i went off it, the big accident involving it hasn't really deterred me.
the best rollercoaster i've been on is the pepsi max big one at blackpool pleasure beach. SO GOOD. and high and fast.
I think they're a lot of fun. I love the rush of adrenaline and the free feeling of screaming without hesitation. It's a good way to relieve stress, ahahah.
Sadly, most people I know are not fans of roller coasters and most of them where I am take a long time of waiting in line. I dislike going on rides by myself, it's boring.
