Do you listen to anything like music, podcasts, tv, or do anything else while playing ACNH or do you find it too distracting? I personally listen to music or podcasts while I play. I find podcasts while I play especially relaxing and it doesn’t distract me too much. I find it kind of makes playing even more fun.

Sometimes I do, but only during the most dull and boring of times. It's only when I'm terraforming or hunting or sea creatures, obviously I can't really do it when I'm fishing.

I only ever listened to music on youtube when I was bored a few years ago trying to get the K.K. badges in New Leaf. I got tired after like 30 minutes of hearing him sing so I just played some music. Other than that I love the hourly music in all the AC games even new horizons and I enjoy the sounds of the game!!!
I listen to music when I'm designing custom patterns or terraforming because balloons seemingly like to harass me and the constant swooshing noises are annoying, lol.

i sometimes listen to music on my apple music playlist or on youtube. most of the time im too lazy to get to my airpods so im stuck listening to the background noise of whatever’s going on around me. i keep the switch volume down to the point where i can’t hear the in game music but i can still hear things like balloons popping or catching fish. i would keep my volume up louder but nh’s music is so terrible that i can’t stand to listen to it. for some reason the developers of this game decided to take all the good music from the sound track and put them all early in the morning.

I just listen to music. I do that when I’m playing most video games. I never had my volume at 100% mute though on the game. I had it up just slightly so I could hear it a bit. While I prefer listening to my own music I still want to hear the game, even if it’s just slightly. I’m weird, yeah.
I do that too, so I can still hear the game while I'm listening to podcasts or music. I can still fish, and pop balloons, etc. I don't like the game music/sounds to be 100% blocked by other sounds
i don’t. i have a short attention span and get distracted easily, so even if i have something that i’ve seen or heard before on while playing, i wind up focusing more on that than the game. however, i’ll usually listen to music while i’m island hopping, since i don’t have to focus on that so much.

I usually just listen to YouTube Videos that talk about topics going on in the world or gaming news. Or sometimes just having my TV on with cartoon shows in the background to have some sound in the background while I play.

Most of the time I'm just listening to the in-game music/sounds. But if I get bored of that, I will put on Netflix or listen to music. It's really relaxing for me. :3

Almost exclusively, unless I'm trying to catch fish. Usually I watch something or listen to a podcast while playing. I find the sound mixing in this game distracting. I.e. some sound effects are way louder than the other sounds and there's this area on my island with overlapping music that make me feel I'm in a circus fever dream. Beautiful to look at but a nightmare to listen to. Also unlike previous games, I find myself unable to listen to the hourly music for extended periods of time.

i almost exclusively play animal crossing while i'm watching youtube/netflix etc - a lot of the time i don't have the attention span to sit down and watch a full episode of something with that being my sole focus, so i have to do something else at the same time and i prefer playing ac than just scrolling through twitter! there are occasions where i'll just listen to the soundtrack though

I usually have soft music playing in the background or if I am doing repeated things over and over like moving around my island . Then I would have youtube video on my laptop that I can watch while I play.

I mostly like to listen to VGM/Watch YT videos while also playing AC:NL more while the most I do on NH is to open up my save for that day to count towards the 300 days Nook Mile achievement, and to get the real art I don't own from Redd's area at Harvey's daily. I buy both with my main and extra player so I don't have to wait a week for more.
