do you judge people by their grammar?

No because its more fun to not give a ****
I agree with the sock on this XD
but a lot of people i talk to don't have English as their first language so it really would be kinda ass holey to call them out on it.

No because I have no right to do so.
+ im dyslexic and my grammer is awful x_x

No Lol
i got A's in English through education, but type awful on the internet as i cba

Exactly. I care about....0% about almost anything on the internet. I have good grammar where it counts so it's all good.
Though I feel I'm being judged now, constantly, I never knew the internet cared so much for grammar.

Grammar isn't the end all pinnacle of a person's being, so I don't judge on something silly like that. I will say though that the 'tumblr' way of typing irks me, particularly because it seems overblown and disingenuous at times, but I don't judge someone based on how they spell or arrange their words- it's the words themselves that matter.

people who judge others because of grammar are very, very annoying. and then there are those who are proud of it. ugh

you often can't tell what someone's native language is over the internet so that's a weird exception to make

i usully tyep smthgn lik thsi since i tend to drag my fingers on the keyboard or i press some keys before i should, but i only do it around people i already know. on this forum i use some punctuation but it's rare for me to do it elsewhere (unless i'm being serious) because i feel like it'd make me look too serious and unapproachable

so no, i don't judge

No because that is dumb :p

I don't judge someone unless they clearly are like unintelligent. When texting and such, I get pretty lazy. People who text with perfect grammar are silly and kinda annoying. :P
I just don't think it's a big deal on a lot of places on the internet.

I try not to, but people who text talk on the Internet drive me nuts. When I learned to type, I always typed with proper grammar and such, so even if I wanted to text talk, I couldn't. It's like, at least put some effort it so we can actually understand you.

no thats for nerds :)
people who type with grammar scare me
especially if its on tumblr like..chill

blame tumblr and twitter for making me dislike capitalising my letters during typing/texting, but if people get their "there" "they're" "theirs" mixed up it annoys me or if people don't know the difference between you're and your, misuse of the apostrophe is okay 'cause i do it too sometimes when i'm too lazy but tbh, i learnt all this from the internet, on my own, do school even teach people these simple things anymore? mine certainly don't, and i don't judge someone by their grammar, punctuation or spelling

I am glad to know not everyone here judge other's by grammar =) There's a few time I encounter people NOT answering my topic or post instead saying hurtful words like "English please" or "is English your native language?" and make me stumble a little and from there I start paranoid and thinking every single quote on my post is going to laugh at my grammar or sentence lol English is definitely not my native language and I am pretty bad in grammar too, but ever since I joined this forum I start to change the way I type into proper sentences, trying my best to use proper grammar (still bad in it) compare to when I type in Facebook lol. I used less shortcut for now and I feel so much better in this =D but if people still want to judge my grammar or sentences I hope they don't just say it is bad but "correct my whole sentences/paragraph" instead so I can learn xD

How is asking if English is your first language hurtful? People don't want to think you're illiterate so they look for another explanation.

Haha it sort of make me think is my words confusing or wrong. Is more on my self-confident =x

I think it's a very foolish thing to do. things like COMMON grammar and spelling mistakes are called common for a reason. I've seen people get REALLY mad at the you're and your and there and their etc. It's really not that serious. and you have to realize some people might not be native speakers of that language or may have disabilities where they make errors. you really shouldn't judge them.

It's usually apparent whether they're not native speakers or just completely stupid.

I used to when I was younger, but then I grew up. The internet isn't English class so I don't really care about people's grammar anymore.
