do you have or want all the same species of villagers??

I like a lot of the cats but no I don't want to have just 10 cats walking around. :) It's more fun to see different animals. 2 of the same species is ok but even 3 is too much for me. 😅

I tried to avoid duplicates other than my two planned koalas, but Sterling replaced Genji on my dreamie list and now I'm going to have two eagles as well.

In my NL games I had four rabbits in each town. I could probably fill an entire town with them and still only have favorite villagers.

Having all cats you become crazy cat lady having all bunnies u become hugh hef lol im jk a town of lions would be cool.. a town of horses?? Hmm a town of alligators or hamsters... ah

having a wolf pack would be coo

In new leaf I have all deers because i effing love them <3 But in NH to make it different, I've decided I won't have 2 of the same species. Which is super hard when I usually prefer the same species villagers 😂

This is a fantastic idea. I saw a few people going with one species. Honestly, it's not that bad at all. In my case, I will likely go with cats.

I had towns with all ducks, pigs and frogs in New Leaf but it was a lot easier(and cheaper)to do that with the previous game.Since I don't want to buy several Switches I'll just have a traditional mixed animal island.

i have mostly deer, but I like chevre and sherb too much to give them up and go pure deer (also the deer actually have really bad personality distribution LOL)

but I'm keeping ruby around too because I like her and also there's no peppy goats or deer

so I'm a really bad purist... basically... lol

In the beginning of the game I basically had a whole island full of horse villagers only cause that is all I would find on nook islands, and my campsite visitors was always horses. And my starter was Buck but now its all full of other animals But I kinda missed how it was full of all the different type of horse villagers :/

I do not, and this is something I would not want. I don't want any repeats, as I think a variety would be better for me. Right now I have 2 horses but that will change soon enough.

I have plans to only have cat villagers because most of my favorite villagers are cats. I never let myself have only cats in new leaf, but now I will in new horizons. I have six cats currently and Kid Cat will be moving in soon.
I don't think I'll get bored of only cat villagers, but if I do I can always move them out and get different villagers later on.

I've bounced around the idea of having an island full of dogs, cats, deer, cubs, or ostriches multiple times. The only things stopping me are that I want to experience having more different villagers first and I don't know how I'll choose which species to fill my island with.

I have no interest in having an island full of all of the same species. One of my towns in New Leaf is an all-bird species town, which has at least one representative of all of the different avian species in the game: Bird, Chicken, Duck, Eagle, Ostrich, and Penguin. I enjoyed doing that, but part of that is because some of my favorite animals are birds, like crows, hawks, ravens, penguins, and owls. Since there are so many different types of birds in real life, and since there are multiple bird species in Animal Crossing itself with different designs and personalities, it was more interesting to me than just picking cats or dogs or something.

I like coming up with themes to base my towns/island around in Animal Crossing games, and my New Horizons island's theme has already been long decided and built around; world history and cultures.

There is actually some unintentional overlap occurring on my island, though. I have Klaus representing Ancient Rome and Pekoe representing China, and while Bears and Cubs are classified as different species in Animal Crossing, they're both technically bears. I also have Ankha representing Ancient Egypt and Kabuki representing Japan, and they're both cats. Finally, Diva is the only Sisterly who I hadn't used yet that interested me, while Ribbot is my Jock, so another accidental pair of Frogs. I'm considering moving Diva out in the future though, after I get all of her Reactions, but I'm not entirely sure that I want to do so because then I'd be replacing her with a third Cranky villager and that seems a bit redundant.

In NL I had four cats, 3 wolves, 2 deer and 1 squirrel so I really wanted some variation this time around and am limiting myself to one villager per species. I would never be able to do an all one species town/island as my 3 favourite villagers are Chief, Mitzi and Zell. Plus with all the little details with different species (seeing their ears twitch, how they wear clothes/accessories, different heights etc.) I can't help but want to experience a variety ^^
I did however endeavour to have one of each 'cat' species so a cat, lion and tiger to kinda satiate my love for cats haha!

I would love to have an island full of wolves or dogs! But I don’t think that I’ll actually push through with that as I really like having different kinds of animals around my island.
