• Guest, have you picked up a fortunate cookie from the shop? You must have the "Fortune Cookie (2026)" item in your inventory to receive a collectible from The Luck of the Dragon raffle. Time is running out and the raffle results will be randomized soon!

Do you have any villagers you wanted that you regretted once you got them?

Stitches! I don't know why but I used to adore him when I had him in NL. So I figured I would bring him over to my island in NH and it just isn't the same. His color scheme was clashing with the type of aesthetic I was going for, and I started getting more creeped out by his dead eyes and the fact that he's a living stuffed animal.

Not as of yet in New Horizons, though I was disappointed to find out that the initial Normal, Lazy, and Peppy you find on the Nook Miles Islands early in the game have their houses' interior designs dictated by their personalities. I had heard that early game villagers had basic houses, but I thought people just meant the Jock and Sisterly starting villagers. Bummer, I looked up their actual houses on the wiki and thought they looked neat.

Aside from that, yeah, not yet. In New Leaf though? Whitney. I really liked her design at first, but came to discover that I really didn't like how her eyes looked in-game. I replaced her soon after adopting her.

No regrets, no, but I'm not as in love with Lucky as I thought I would be. Starting this game, Lucky was one of the very few villagers I had seen before so I went out of my way to find out his name. I thought he was amazing and besides Annalisa and to some degree Cherry the only one that would have qualified as a dreamie for me within my first days of playing. I felt so, so blessed when I met him on an island pretty early in the game! However, he kind of is just there? Maybe it's due to the fact that he isn't the most expressive little critter, but I do not find him to be as endearing as some of my other villagers. He usually runs around pretending to be an airplane, that's it. His dialogue also feels a little repetitive. I am not planning on getting rid of him anytime soon, he does have great design and I do like him, but running into him on a daily basis doesn't make me as excited as it does with some of my other villagers. I feel a little guilty for saying this since I had wanted Lucky way, way more than I had wanted Cherry, but Cherry is definitely the superior puppy!

Shep! I wanted him so badly in NL, now that I finally have him we don’t vibe.

I was happy to get Merry. I invited her over and honestly wasn't thrilled. The peppy personality in NH is not that awesome. I have two peppy villagers atm and will ultimately let her go in favor of another cranky or lazy villager.
