Cats are the biggest villager species in Animal Crossing, 23 total for this game!
I couldn't avoid having a cat if I tried! No really, one of my starters was a cat named Katt. She's never allowed to leave. Then came Tom, who's also not allowed to leave. Then the garbage cat name Raymond who parked himself on my island after being dumped in someone else's void...he's not allowed to leave either. And then there's Bianca who's...technically a cat? Idk. So now I have 3 cats and one tiger.

i used to have mitzi too but at the moment i only have punchy. he's super cute and not leaving any time soon! i would like to have tangy as well, i had her in city folk and really liked her ;W;

I have Punchy; he's my favorite cat villager. And for "tigers", I have the peppy snow leopard Bianca. Punchy is a permanent resident of my island, but Bianca isn't. I love her, but I'll probably let her go for another peppy eventually

I'm a dog person IRL and I'm not that fond of the cat models in the game tbh... but I always end up with at least one cat in each game I play and I love them so much.

I have Tabby on my island she's absolutely precious. Definitely is my favourite cat villager of all time now. She beat Stinky by just a little :'))

I didn’t plan on any cats, but I got “the garbage cat” as my forced camper. I’m stuck keeping him until the person who wants him to come get him. To be honest though growing kind of attached and I don’t have a smug I’m overly fond of.

I have nine cats currently, I will get the tenth at some point, but I haven't moved Punchy in yet.
I've got Tom, Moe, Mitzi, Raymond, Olivia, Katt, Tangy, Kid Cat and Kabuki.
I decided I wanted an all cat island because I never let myself have an all cat town in new leaf.
Plus, cat villagers are my favorites.

Did someone say "cats"?I kinda went cat crazy and wound up with six kitty cats: Kiki,Tabby,Merry,Katt,Raymond and Tangy.I got Raymond as my first camper,Katt was my starter and the rest are favorites from my New Leaf towns.Heh,I'd get more if I could.

This is actually the first AC game in which I have a cat, I went through WW and NH without ever seeing one!

I now have Rudy, and immediately he has become my favourite jock!

O, and in my new WW town I have Mitzi ^^

i currently have kid cat, bob and ankha. lolly and punchy are on my dreamy list so i'll ultimately even out with four since ankha isn't permanent. i have her, felyne, punchy and kid cat in one of my new leaf towns while bob is all on his lonesome in the other.

Yessssss! I have Rudy and he is my hype cat <3 Definitely my favorite villager on my island and he's never allowed to leave lol.

I have Ankha on my island currently, since my island is based around various cultures from around the world throughout history, and she's seemingly a fairly perfect candidate for residency. That said, with the absolute disappointment that is her house in this game (they replaced her amazing throne from New Leaf with a golden toilet) and the fact that it gets absolutely upstaged by my Sisterly resident Diva's house, I've been considering sending Ankha back to New Leaf and replacing her with Monique since Monique's design is influenced by Marilyn Monroe. Whichever I decide to have, I'll still have at least one cat resident.

I also have Kabuki, but I'm planning to replace him with Olaf because Kabuki and my other Cranky villager, Vic, keep saying the same dialogue and it's really annoying. It's unfortunate, I really love Kabuki's design and think he fits the theme well, but he's the weak link between himself and Vic. It's a shame the dialogue in New Horizons is the way it is; I never had this level of annoyance in New Leaf because it seemed like, even if you saw the same things once in a while, there were more dialogue options being cycled through.
