I initially planned to have 3 normal and 2 peppy villagers and I absolutely loathed that once it happened. So I did some research, looked into cranky/uchi villagers and came up with a few I wouldn't mind having on my island. Coincidentally, Fang was in my campsite one day and I've kept him ever since. His dialogue is more interesting than any of my other villagers lol.

Almost. Decided to do the campsite guide trick to find a specific snooty villager and Diana was first so I couldn't pass on her and she's moving soon and I'm excited I can't wait to TT later tonight so she's all set. Just waiting to see if anyone wants the villager she booted out first.

No. I've never had a cranky on my island yet. It's not on purpose. I just haven't run into a cranky I want to adopt, and my Switch's joycons amiibo detection is weak. I have Kabuki's amiibo (an official, real one, not a fake one) but it doesn't work on my Switch.

Nope. I’m missing a jock and an Uchi villager.
I personally am not a fan of most of the jock villagers so I haven’t found any that I like.
As well as the Uchi villagers, I’m not a huge fan of a lot of them and haven’t ran into any I like.
I do eventually want to have all types though so I have more variety and complete my reactions lol.

Well, I had them but my only peppy villager was kicked out by second uchi(i just couldn't resist taking Agnes over any of my starter villagers) so yeah. I need a peppy villager now

i think the only time (once i had ten villagers) i was ever missing a personality type was when i let tutu leave and had to wait a few days to get a peppy again. i REALLY missed having a peppy, lol, but it was worth it to get agnes.

I have all 8 with 2 extra snootier since I love them so much. Personally I like having them all just for a bit of diversity and also since the different personalities give different DIY recipes. Theres two more villagers I really want but I dont want to kick anyone out now. I so wish we could have 12 villagers

You might also try to get ones that have different hobbies/interests, I’ve found that helps them feel more different to me tbh since the sub-personalities just affect a super small percentage of high friendship dialogue but the interests make a big difference in their animations/activities—for example, Lily’s education interest from what I can tell seems to result in her frequently reading with glasses on and examining things with a magnifying glass. I have never seen Marina do either of these things except maybe occasionally read. Marina’s music interest makes her sing all the time but I rarely see Lily do the same.

i don’t. i’ve been missing a peppy villager for a while but i have at least 1 of the other personalities. once i have all my dreamies, i won’t have any smug villagers as i don’t like them, which is ironic considering i have 3 of them rn lmao
