really dislike (read: i get anxiety attacks and feel like throwing up) being locked into places and not being able to get out/not knowing when I will get out. Like, on a roller coaster I know that I will get out in 2 minutes or something and I never get scared.

Soooo I never take the elevator and if there's a doorway with one door and then another door I will always make sure to open the second door before the first door closes, just in case I'd be locked inside. Also I always keep one foot outside the door when I go into my wardrobe because I was once locked into it, lol.
my mom thought I was claustrophobic or just had a phobia for elevators, but that's not the case. I don't have any issue with being in small spaces as long as I can get out. And with elevators, well, I hate them so much and it's probably one of the worst places ever, but I don't have a problem with elevators only...

I don't think the thought of going to prison scares me, though? I mean, I definitely don't want to go to prison, but it doesn't really feel the same way thinking about it as when I think about elevators and stuff.... Idk.

I have 3 main phobias, all of which seem pretty irrational aha.

1.) I have always been deathly afraid of needles. I have no idea why, but I am. It made trips to the doctor pretty eventful.

2.) I refuse to go in elevators. While for most people the problem would be the small space, I'm afraid of getting trapped in there and not be able to get out. So, I will always take the stairs.

3.) Bridges. As with the needles, I have no idea why I'm afraid of them. Every single time I have to drive over a bridge I get extremely anxious and panicky.

Stairs that are more than one story. I did this once and me and my friend were really behid because we were terrified

It's called Climacophobia.

Why are fears of death of torture not options? I mean those are the only two things I'm afraid of.

I went to a maximum security prison the other day for my criminology class and I can assure you it's a place to fear too. They had like double razor wired fences and a rule of shoot to kill if you get caught between them. And it's just generally nasty inside, especially the food.

yeah, i get that but i meant that it isn't really included in my phobia of being locked in lmao

Considering the size of the cells you're forced to spend time in that's part of it.

yeah, that's why i thought it was weird and mentioned it. maybe it's because i've never had to be in a prison and never experienced it, but the thought doesn't scare me in a phobia way.

i have a phobia of snakes. idk why its so serious considering ive never had a problem with them when i was a kid. id cringe even when i hear the name and i cant even look at one without wanted to scream or cry ^^; like..i cant even look at small parts of it either. if you show me just a picture of a snakes eye or its skin, ill know and ill still freak out

I get pretty afraid of the dark. I think it's just the fear of the unknown and not being able to see what's out there. Of course if I ever watch a horror film I end up having to leave the lights on in my room for the night lmao, so I scare pretty easily.

Oh, and I have a phobia of vomit. This is a really weird one. It's not like my fear of the dark where, when I'm in the dark, I genuinely feel nervous and uneasy, and I get this feeling of wanting to escape. It's more like... When I see someone throw up, or when I hear someone throw up, I get really lightheaded and I feel all faint. It's like my body reacts to it reflexively. I've cried before when I've had to listen to someone throw up, it was awful, so so awful. I don't even know why I'm scared of it to tell you the truth, I just freak out. I don't know... If I knew why, then maybe I'd be a bit less afraid of it.

The dark makes me feel like I'm blind.
And I have a huge phobia of fire drills because it is very nerve-racking to anticipate when exactly the siren goes off.

Clowns, I can't stand them in any way shape or form.
When I was really little I decided to be very stupid and watch It, and ever since then I can't even look at clowns. I went to a local haunted house and they had clowns chasing people around with fake chainsaws and within 5 minutes I was already in tears lol
