I wouldn't say I have a "phobia" of anything. But I have a fair few fears. I have a fear of spiders, heights, sometimes the dark (depends on the situation) and creepypastas.

Sometimes. I have an odd phobia of some certain insects, like ladybugs and wasps. No idea why. Clowns horrify me, and spiders fascinate me. Depending on the situation the dark can scare me, but not enough to be counted as a phobia.

it's nothing crippling but my phobias are trypophobia and a fear of vomiting. ugh.

I should add I have another fear, but it's really bad and I don't wanna talk about it cause it gives me nightmares :/.

I would reply to all of you, but 42 replies! I see I shoulda added more options. But oh well

Dogs. I own three, and my mom was an animal hoarder, so I grew up around a lot of dogs., but for some strange reason, I'm so scared of the ones that I don't know.

I'm surprised emetophobia is so common! Mine is apparently sort of like PTSD but obviously not as horrible from when I was three and had the worst sick bug ever. As I'm also a hypochondriac I am now a stickler for hygiene :)

An added aside since I've seen some more emetophobe responses: I feel exactly the same way. I just can't when it comes to sick. Just.... ugh. It's not even a fear you can overcome

I don't know how to describe it but I have a phobia of blood & cutting. I am fine with nose bleeds or a small scar.

I once fainted in 8th grade because we were watching a CPR video, which had a really bloody scene and it was just blah I could not handle it so I kept rewinding it in my head then poof I blacked out. Others felt dizzy watching the scene too but yeah.
Hated myself for being scared of blood because I was made fun of for fainting in class. Someone told me to get over it because it is just water.
But I got over the teasing a few days later... just not the blood. Just hope one day I do. @__@

I wouldn't really classify "phobias" and "fears" the same way. I think phobias are far more serious.
That said, I don't really have any phobias that keep me from doing specific things or cause me paranoia, but I am afraid of dogs and sharks. I'm also not fond of the ocean.

I was wondering if anyone had a phobia? I'm not really scared of much. Just clowns really.[/QUOTE

OH MY GOD, CLOWNS NO. I HATE THEM AHHH

Other then that, needles scare the sht out of me! (like injections, not sewing haha!) Also anything to do with eye injuries ;v;

Clowns *shivers*

My granny has a serious phobia of mice! If she sees one IRL, she could possibly die O.O We always have to clear our house of crumbs when she comes over.

heights. a few years ago, when i was like 18 or so my family took a trip to NM and we did that huge tram way up the mountain.. needless to say i sat on the floor sobbing having panic attacks while strangers of all kinda stared at me in pity.. meanwhile my family took pictures and laughed.

clowns are also a big one. don't know why but i just can't trust anyone with a painted on smile. hellno.

spiders. i know they're super beneficial to most house holds and they keep flies and other pesky insects away or maintained but my god i just freak out when i see them. especially the big ones because all i can think about is falling asleep one night and my mouth being open and spiders just crawling inside and NOPE. i can't. burn it all.

I'm scared of heights and spiders, but I don't have a phobia. I don't go into panic attacks from them.

Yeah it surprised me actually how many other people are so afraid of it! I thought I was one of the only people. Whenever I tell other people about it they don't seem surprised by it but they don't say they're afraid of it either. It's so weird, whenever I see someone throw up I just go all weird, it's not like I have a panic attack or anything (so I'm not sure if I can call it a phobia), but I just get really lightheaded and I feel like I could faint. It's like... Even though throwing up is just natural, my body is just like "Whoa whoa whoa what the hell is that" and kind of shuts down, even THOUGH when I think about it, it's just disgusting, not scary. But it's kind of reflexive. I can't even explain it lol. I remember once my brother threw up and I just started crying and bawling my eyes out and I have no idea why I did? And even now, I've seen someone throw up and I've just started crying. I've never had a bad experience with throwing up or anything, maybe there's something in my subconscious that makes me terrified of it.

Actually though, I've seen people throw up on TV shows and stuff, but it doesn't freak me out as much? It's like, I'm more disgusted than frightened. Yet I remember quite recently, I saw this girl throw up next to me, just slightly, and I felt like I was going to faint lmao, I lost balance but I managed to sort of compose myself. I don't get it lmao.

I'm really not afraid of much but we have theese massive bees in MA i didn't know about and while i was working outside one landed in a tree right behind my head, when i turned around i swear i had a mini stroke.
I guess that i'm not really that scared or i'm just not gonna let that stop me or something cuz i still go outside and get stuff done:)

Spiders are my biggest one, I'm also a little scared of the ocean even though I live in Hawaii haha. I've been getting more scared of clowns as I get older, which is strange since they never bothered me as a kid.

I don't think I technically have a phobia, but I fear death and lightning.

Slightly related, I refuse to live anywhere that is prone to earthquakes, hurricanes, or is located near a volcano. So no California, Florida, Hawaii for me! I might like to visit Japan someday but I would never take up residence there because of the earthquakes and tsunamis.

Meanwhile, I love spiders and bugs and think clowns are cool.
