Do you hate school/School Starts today!

I'm in university. Dealing with people isn't as bad cause you literally don't have to be there. But I hate the workload and the deadlines I have. I wouldn't mind school if I just had to listen to lectures and.. Not write 15 page assignments...

Gladly, I DON"T WANT TO LEAVE! But, Middle School is gonna be crap. I know. I wish I was in 4th not 5th.

Elementary school was worse for me actually. You might actually like a little better.

Sometimes it's bearable for me, other times it's just ugly. I'm in 8th grade, so I don't have as much to worry about as others, but yes, I do hate it.

There are tons of thing I really dislike about school, but I can't say that I hate it. I like my friends and a couple of teachers. Everything else sucks though; even though I'm only in middle school I feel like I have no free time with all of my homework and there are a ton of jerks in my grade who make fun of me. It's pretty easy for me to ignore them, but my friend is really sensitive and when she reported them they just started talking about her when they thought she couldn't hear. :L

So most of you all probably don't know me, but I feel pretty strongly about this, so I just wanted to share a few words.

Ya'll who hate school, I just want to let you know I feel where you're coming from. When I was in high school there were really only a few people/things I enjoyed. So the second I could drive myself, I just stopped showing up to school. Like I still showed up enough to graduate, but that's about it. Let me tell you, now that I'm a little bit older (lol like 2 years) I look back on that ****, and I think to myself it's probably the biggest mistake I've made in my life thus far. Like, I look back on that and think that time is pretty much just wasted. Years of my life, just gone. I know a lot of you might be in high school or middle school, and you're stuck with all this crappy people, but don't let that stop you from pursusing your passions. Even if you're at a crappy school right now, just try to push your way through with good grades. Others have said it, but things will get better in college as far as the social aspect goes. You have to start paying for it, which sucks, but it's a ton of fun.

If you're having trouble, and your teachers can't/won't help you, there are a ton of great resources out there to learn on your own. Khanacademy, coursera, edx, mit ocw, various youtube videos and other online courses (just google what you're having trouble with). There are some pretty smart people here that I bet you could even ask for help.

tl;dr If you're discouraged, stick with it. Things will get better, and you won't regret it.

I will say that my Spanish teacher is making my midterm a group video project, which annoys me to no end.

Teacher's have strange plans that the school gives them and they have to force out. Recently we were required to take a strange test where one of the questions, and I **** you not, was "What is a purpose?" One of the answers was "A mammal that swims in the ocean."

Trust me, middle school is so much better. You get a lot more freedom and although it is a huge change, you will adapt. It isn't bad at all.

Elementary school was worse for me actually. You might actually like a little better.
I agree. (I'm in 9th, and I can let you know that high school is a lot easier and more fun for me than middle school :))

I hated school when I was in high school. my years in elementary, middle school and college were way better.

Yes. It's kind of hard to explain, actually. I hate it, but if I had the choice whether to go or not, I still would go. The only thing that drives me on is that I can get a good education and a job, and that my papers serve as a sketchbook away from home.

What? Doodling relieves stress...

idrc
it just pisses me off that I carry my dead body on crutches every weekday and be told that i'm perfectly fine tyvm

my teachers are actually really nice and i like the lessons but idk about the homework
also nearly everyone in school hates me which idc about but it's embarrassing in class nontheless

No, not really. Sometimes I hate trying to juggle school lectures, homework, studying, and full time work...and trying to actually give my family some attention. But it is what it is.
It more so frustrates me to see students with financial aid or parents that pay their way while they don't work...and to see them act disrespectful in class and not take any of it seriously to the point they're failing or just wasting other students time. But oh well.

never really hated school. I got good grades and had a nice small group of loyal friends. I find uni a lot harder and more stressful

yes but no

i liked school because i liked having a place to be, and in reality, it wasn't at all that bad. my school was p good (despite being ****ed up), but i never got in trouble so that didn't bother me.

i hated doing the work though, namely because most of it i didnt enjoy. i enjoyed friends, ****ing around with them, being a rebel, annoying teachers etc

i didnt like the hours tho (or having to walk home after being at school for 6 hours)

idk It was 50/50

I never liked school
In the end, school isnt about how much you know but how much you remember.
