so terraforming is stressful, no lie. i listen to a lot of lofi but recently i've been listening to this peaceful harp cover of shrek's fairytale on loop.
shrek memes aside, what do u guys listen to while playing?podcasts? songs? ebooks? do u guys listen to anything at all?
I'll usually either have a podcast, my most recent playlist or some random youtube/netflix in the background. same applies to most things I do really - I like to have some kind of video or something in the background! recent fave has been old buzzfeed unsolved videos.
I binge watch while playing, if that counts as listening to something. Recently, it's Umbrella Academy

Sometimes I'll put on one of those long,stupid YouTube villager search videos if I'm doing something tedious like putting down paths.I mostly listen to the commentary while I play but I'll watch a bit if there's something interesting(which doesn't happen that often unfortunately).
I usually just watch Netflix while decorating/terraforming (I tend to stick to English shows while doing so but sometimes watch kdramas too - a bit tricky though having to play catch up with the subs lol). From time to time I also tend to listen to podcasts, usually the Last Podcast on the Left since I like mystery/spooky stuff.
podcaaaaaaasts: reply all, you're wrong about, ologies, endless thread, lore, octavia's parables, how to survive the end of the world, 99% invisible, the view from somewhere. i also listen to a lot of political/news podcasts: even more news, democracy now, citations needed, what trump can teach us about con law, amicus, worst year ever. maybe less palatable to this crowd lol, i'm on the older end at tbt. i live alone so my podcast hosts are my roommates.
if there's new content out i'll also listen to critical role, which is a recorded d&d campaign hosted by voice actors.
I usually pull up my favorite music or catch up on political commentary. Because I'm not too impressed with the New Horizons hourly themes, I'll sometimes listen to ones from the past games to spruce things up.
Sometimes I just watch youtube videos while I terraform, or listen to k-pop songs lol, but most of the time I just concentrate on terraforming rather than doing anything with it, I like being in the zone and the sound in game is already good enough for me lol
Totally, I listen to either episodes of the Youtube channel Drawfee, comprised of four artists that draw things based on a single theme or idea and usually just goof around like a bunch of idiots or I watch Pitch Meeting videos from Ryan George which are just always entertaining.
