Do you get attached to your villagers?

Yes, I still have a few of my original villagers (specifically Ruby, Fang, and Tiffany). I really do want more villagers and get to know other villagers though so I’m thinking of getting their amiibo cards so I can summon them back anytime if I miss them.

Constantly. If I like a villager and think they're adorable I never let them leave until they leave without telling me

always. if it’s a villager that i don’t like or don’t really care about, i don’t become that attached but even saying goodbye to undesired villagers can be bittersweet to me as it feels like the end of an era lmaoo

i do. much more before, especially to my biggest dremie back in the days, penelope. i loved her, but she moved away :(

i've had stitches for the longest time, 4 years and going. while i do not talk to him everyday anymore, i still make sure he doesn't move away, and i have so much respect for him, since he's really been with me through everything <3 i know that they aren't real, but still, he's literally been there for all that time.
i also have so much love for all the "unpopular" villagers that i gave a permanent home to. barold, rilla, admiral, jambette, rooney, tabby, buck and others :)

Definitely! I got really attached to Merengue and I got so upset when she left D:

I definitely get way too attached to some villagers 😩 I've had Erik since day one, Chief for years now and I got my hands on Bunnie's Amiibo a few months ago and no matter how many times any of them ask to move I'm always saying no I can't face them ever moving😂

Me! I have had this problem for as long as I can remember (Which to be fair pretty much dates back to New Leaf. I've been playing since game cube, but in all honesty I was younger and I barely remember that, wild world & city folk even though I played quite a bit x.x)

Recently I had Rooney and I let him move. I couldn't believe how upset I was when he actually was gone. Then sadly I had to say goodbye to Bertha in order to get Wolfgang. I don't regret the choice... but I do miss Bertha.

:ROFLMAO: Then again, I'm also the type of person who feels bad putting things back when shopping "Like, darn. It thought it was getting a home probably..."

I don’t get attached to my villagers really. I’m not sure if it’s weird that I don’t. I think I’m just too conscious that individual villagers aren’t unique, and are only separated by their designs. Every jock is going to have the exact same dialogue, and I’m way too aware of that to get personally attached to one. I think the only exception is Roald the Jock penguin, but that’s more about nostalgia than anything else; I had him in my original Wild World town when I was a kid, and got so sad when he moved away. I have had him in my towns since then, and have enjoyed that it’s easier to prevent him from leaving again. The rest of my villagers are based on aesthetics alone.

Yes that happened to me, I got attached to most of my first move in villagers in NL and only moved out 4.

Everytime! They dont even have to do anything out of the ordinary. I just don't like letting my villagers go

oh i most definitely get attached... I always have villagers in my town and work towards having 10 that I would not let go for any other. I currently have 7 I'm set on keeping. the 5 in my sig + boots and chief. I just wait to see their vibe and then decide from there

Oh yeah definitely! I think its really easy and nice to get attached to your villagers.
Especially if you have special memories or moments with them!

It’s weird but when puddles moved out I was on the verge of tears. They’re just little digital animals but they really feel like friends in a way. I love flora and she keeps asking to move but I won’t let her

I most definitely get attached, even with villagers I don’t like that much. I feel bad even when I deliberately try to get them to move out

I knew I would and I know I am. Talking to the villagers and doing their little errands is my favourite part of animal crossing. It’s great how they show different reactions. I also love learning to not have expectations cos they’re sooo unreliable. I thought Del would be dull but he’s becoming a favourite of mine.

I get so attached, even ones that come to my town that I'm not looking for and plan to get rid of, I can't stand the idea of them going to the void, gotta get them all in lovely homes where their owners gonna love them forever 🥺

Yes, always! I had to let go of Rodeo today, kinda sad. Altho I had lots of practice saying goodbyes to my villagers in WW.
Has to be done tho to get those dreamies.
