Do you get attached to villagers?

I get attached. There's no denying that, however, if they ask me enough times I may just let them leave.

I feel guilty for keeping them in my town for too long. Does that make sense? Okay, good talk.

Yeah... I'd be sad if O'Hare or Bob moved(they are NEVER aloud to leave). I know they are pixels but I can't help it. I try not to get to attached to all my viillagers though. Otherwise I'd never let anyone leave. I let Rod move today, his empty spot where his house was makes me a little sad.

I'm attached to beau way too much
i stopped playing for a few months and i was terrified to turn my game back on in case he left :(

Yes.. far too attached hence only one villager moving since i started Azalea in July :l
Many more will move soon though since im getting bored

In parfait, im not getting as attached, and letting villagers go tbh

This post speaks to me.

I have set my own standards. (For myself.)

No. 1: Keep in your towns those who were originally there to greet your arrival on Day #01. I blew it with Walt in Applewin. But the town's Jambette and Scoot survive. (I love them!) In my other town of Progress, Cookie, Iggly, and Apollo were there from Day #01. (It's a much newer town; but I like them as well.) And they still are. What is actually good, for me, is that they represent different category personalities. It's a smart game design.

No. 2: Represent all personality types. This helps to have a balance of the genders, as well, but it speaks to getting access from suggested Public Works Projects. I made the mistake, in Applewin, and waited too long to receive a suggestion for the Windmill. (If I recall this correctly, this comes from an Uchi. I used to have Shari, who wasn't popular but become more popular here at The Bell Tree Forums, and she has since been replaced by Tammy.)

No. 3: Be balanced in who you have as villagers in both towns. I look at the Top Tier of Bell Tree Forums Dreamies, and I realize it would be less interesting and less satisfying, for me, if I were to boast a lineup of nothing but Dreamies in just one town. That list does not have, among those 16 listees from Top Tier, any Jocks and Uchis. So, from my perspective, having three or four (max) in a given town may be ideal for me.

I am now in a mode of wanting to do a little reorganizing of the cast of my two towns' villagers. That's why I relate to the post I quoted by Gizmodo.

I usually get attached too easily when I get a non dreamie or villager I dislike I hate it at first but if I spend a week with it I love it to death :c so I get mixed emotions when villagers want to move

Yeah, I do too. I tried to get Rocket to move out (she managed to be my starter villager in my first 2 towns) and once I finally did, I was kinda sad to see that dirt patch next to my house. I didn't even say 'goodbye' to her, I didn't know she was moving. Isabelle only told me about the Festivale and someone's birthday.

I get attached to my villagers. Even the ugly ones that I don't really wanna keep permanently ; - ;

Yes, I do. I'm very attached to Rolf. Heck, I'm attached to ALL of my tigers, but I'd be especially sad if Rolf moved....I make it a point to get on my game once a day, even if all I do is talk to him.

I am attached to all of them but only Barold the one I attached the most and will never ever let him slip off the town!! For others, yes I love them as time goes by and their friendship with me in my town~ I will try my best to plot reset them so their house will not be a bothersome for my future landscaping~ or else, I will just let them go and get a new one~

I only keep Pietro from leaving (and he attempted twice) but I let my other villagers go, even the ones I started getting attached to. Alli recently moved into my town and now she's leaving soon. I just started to like her. I'm letting her leave. I also liked Victoria but I let her leave. I want to see new villagers in my town just to change things up.

I get super attached. Marcel has been with me since the beginning and I couldn't bear to let him go. I usually keep my villagers for a long time, but I do try to let ones go that I don't speak to as often.

I SWEAR TO GOD I HOPE MARCEL MOVES SOMEDAY I HATE HIM SO MUCH
I LOVE YOU BUT THIS ISNT RIGHT, MAN, LET HIM GO (I'm just bitter because he gets more love than me)

That aside. Yes. I love most of my villagers an unfathomable amount and would have a meltdown of epic proportions if I ever slipped up and let any of my dreamies go. I try to be VERY careful, and I try to take care of each cartridge each day. Some I'm more attached to than others, admittedly, especially if I had them in WW, like Chevre.

Don't question me when it comes to pixels. That's all I care about. ( I'm exaggerating, but fictional characters are my life for the most part :P )

I got attached to Tia like crazy. Even though she moved RIGHT in front of my house and the Town Hall, I kept her for months and months. I still kind of regret letting her move...

And man, Kabuki. He's just awesome.

But I told myself that after I get my 10 permanent villagers into my main town, everyone else in my other two towns will come and go. I won't keep any of them forever. I just have to enjoy them while they're there.

Every time I lose a villager I love due to time travel errors I end up sulking for an hour or two. Marshal was almost a Game Over and Avery, if he ever left, might be one.

How could you not?
Yes, it's a virtual world but with actual personality! So much happens within your little town that you can not help but get attached to the things within it at times. People who play the game have goals set, Dreamies to obtain. Meaning that there's a want for such personalities!

Personally, I find myself laughing out loud at some things my villagers say. (I'm not crazy, I swear.)
I already know I'd be devastated if any of my dream villagers moved away, as prior to the ones now, I once had my very own Marshal. He's my absolute favorite (MANY others as well), tying up on my list with Bella. <3
Sadly, I must have traveled just a little too far, and he left with an empty plot behind before I could even properly say a goodbye. Le sigh... I will retrieve him once again. And this time I will NEVER let him slip, or I'll probably cry. T-T

If I ever lose Marshal.
That's it, resetting that town, never going back again until I get my Marshal now.
