I always expand all the rooms I have to the fullest, it's just weird to me otherwise. Unless the room is suppose to be a specific thing, like a bathroom or something.
I expand all rooms. Sometimes its harder to design and place items when the room is too big but at least it provides more options and ways to be creative. Screens can also help divide the room.
Idk this time around I'm not. I'm only expanding the bathroom to the second biggest on the first floor to the right, leaving my living room (the middle) at the biggest, the upstairs the biggest (my bedroom) and basement (clothes closet) the biggest. Idk if i even want the left side room. I'm making the room in the first floor in the back a guest bed room and im only upgrading that to the second biggest.
I always expand all the rooms. I'm a completionist with games and for some reason it gets my ocd going if I dont complete them lol. I always have tons of furniture ideas for my rooms so I need all the extra space anyway. I also just like how the house looks at its biggest.
I usually upgrade them all to the middle apart from upstairs, which is the biggest. And the basement and back rooms are the smallest. I think variety makes the house seem more realistic? No house has 6 rooms with all the same size, y'know?
In my first town I had all the rooms and they were expanded as much as they could be and I hated it. In my new town I only have the upstairs, downstairs and back room because I wanted a kitchen and a "backyard" area.
