Hello! I was just wondering how many people actually follow a town theme? Me personally, while my town has a lot of Zen elements, (house, police station, town hall and a couple PWP's) really I like to design my town around things that I like and do not follow one specific theme the whole way through. Which I think is important because it makes my town unique and not just your typical (insert theme here) town. But that's my opinion, what is your town like and what are your thoughts? I look forward to reading your replies!

My first town, Ivy Glen doesn't really have a theme, although I'm still figuring out how I want to decorate it!
On the other hand, I plan to give my second town a fairytale/nursery rhyme theme, and I already have it planned out. ouo

That sounds great!

I've been planning on making my town seem kind of cabin-ish (country, cozy, etc.) but I'm not entirely sure anymore. I've been really into the kind of cute style lately (Princess and Sweets theme, rare furniture) instead. I might just change my theme into that since I haven't done much on certain-style PWPs yet anyway. :)

Yea, I do follow a town theme... I actually like ones that don't have one because they are very minimalistic and very easy to navigate through. I follow a theme... because ...I have no idea why actually. But my theme is very girly, candy, and sort of like a forest :)

My town is mostly fairy-tale, with a few zen elements here and there :)

I'm not aiming for a theme. A theme of regular town perfection.

The only thing I wish I could change is my Police station because now I want to modernize my town but not like it being modern vs classic is a big deal. When the Wii U one comes out we shall see. Announce it Nintendo, we know you must be working on it!

Tropical paradise!

What can I say, I love sea, sun and beach and the easy-going warm feeling that comes with it. I really want people that come into my town to get this positive vacation vibe while they walk through it. It's quite a challenge to limit yourself to the usage of specific colors of flowers, pwp's and trees etc., but I believe it'll be really rewarding. I enjoy trying to present every piece of land with a unique setup not seen before, but it takes me a lot of time to do so as well.

I see where you're coming from Penguin, I've thought about that as well. You can play around maybe even more when you do not limit yourself, which can probably make it even more surprising. On top of that you have a lot more freedom to do whatever you want. Any town is beautiful to see imo as long as the whole setup works. :)

Mine has a sort of fairytale theme (with fairy tale related pwps) but it's also a garden/historical theme as well. I like towns that have combos or their own themes going for them. :)

my theme was originally to be a modern town but the paths don't really make it seem like one. i want a nature feel from my town but i don't want it to be too nature-ish. you feel? q.q

Zen Theme! I have Genji, Annalisa and Greta, whom look similar. I also have Snake who is a pink ninja Bunny. My town has a lot of Zen oriental theme going on. I also have Zucker and Marina (and plan on getting Octavian in soon) to kind of have a Japanese them (especially with Zucker) I pan on getting Ruby and placing her right behind Octavian (They are both Space Themed) I also have Coco in my town and she has perfect Pear trees around her House which will eventually die and create the effect I want. Coco Is my favorite character and everything around her house will be eerie. Also I really like Mushrooms, so my house has a lot of mushroom funriture in the main room and my town also has mushrooms scattered across the ground.

Overall my town does have a Zen Theme, but also has some sub themes to coincide with one another

I love creating themed towns. That's why i ended up with four copies.

I tend to decorate my houses with characters from cartoons that i watched growing up.Or favorite nursury rhymes that i liked. My towns are usually old fashioned.I'm not into modern. ( Although i have seen lots of nice modern themed towns ).

I don't really have a specific theme on mine. I just want it to look bright and clean with a few spots that look like a park with lots of flowers and such.

My town is supposed to be Magicant themed. Magicant is a place in EarthBound, if you're wondering. My town flag is a Flying Man and my town theme is the first two melodies in the Eight Melodies. However, I'm way too lazy to breed a bunch of pink flowers and stuff or have a fancy path, so my town is very loosely based off of it. I also want five eagle villagers so they can be the five Flying Men. :P

I want my town to be a simple fairy-like forest...but very natural. Lots of pine trees and some white and blue flowers, suspension bridges, log benches, a log fence and bushes! And the light pink exterior with small flowers, not sure what it's called ^^

My primary town, Acadiana, is a fairy kingdom. I'm going to have natural paths, (but for now, I'll have a temporary dirt path pattern)
and a lot of nature-y PWPs, lots of trees, plenty of flowers, and mushroom circles, of course!

Pizza, a FNAF town me and Cottontail234 are sharing, is laid out almost exactly like the resturaunt from the first game. (Though the stupid plaza didn't go where we wanted but eh we can deal with it.)

More or less have a Zen themed town because I am an all things Japan enthusiast. Even my houses and characters are references from all sorts of anime and games...don't even get me started on my villagers and their catch phrases.

My second town, Novem, has a horror theme like Aika Village.

I'm still working on it though. Huge work in progress and I really really really want to complete it soon!

And I still don't have the Dream Suite //sobs//
