I've been wearing glasses since I was 15 and not once has anyone ever called me "four eyes." Well, not to my face, anyway. LOL. Anyone who insults me gets it back, though.
I wouldn't be offended by it...But I'm not really offended by much anyway.
It's kind of a lame juvenile insult. I don't think I've even heard somebody say it seriously in years.
Besides, if I remove my glasses, they're still stupid. That's something they can't change.
No, but I didn't need to start wearing glasses until after graduating high school. Adults tend to not insult each other over wearing glasses or not generally.
Honestly, not really, because it seems more like an immature insult more than anything, and those types of insults are just... well, immature.
I do wear glasses, and if someone called me that, I would probably just ignore them. No point in fighting back when you're dealing with someone immature.
thank u all for ur opinions i actually only made this thread to make a point to gandalf but it is interesting to hear ur thoughts on this pressing matter
i actually have heard people using it in real life though, it was said to me a lot when i was in school as a joke but i obviously didn't care because it's a non-insult because like... wow my eyes don't function like they should.. good one!!
when i was little some boy called me four eyes and i got really insecure because i thought i had another set of eyes on my forehead that i couldn't see and i literally cried.
