Well I changed out the wisteria trellis for the zen garden recently and I never would have thought of putting it there if the grass hadn’t been wrecked but it looks great so sometimes you get lucky.
constantly. I have very horrible executive function, am a perfectionist, and also very impatient.
meaning I break through a lot of axes.... its honestly insane.
things rarely look good enough for me on the first try.
happened to me when i was playing my first town, did everything myself and worked for every bell i had. spent hundreds of thousands on a public works project, bred flowers to put around, used my cedar saplings... and ended up wildly disliking it. ever since i tried to plan things out more beforehand, but it can be difficult to envision the final product before you have even started.
I've definitely planted stuff and realised I didn't like it, so I had to dig it up again and redo it. It hurt my wallet more than anything, because I had to go back and buy all my bushes again. But even if I mess up I still kind of enjoy the process and satisfaction when it finally turns out the way I wanted. I don't like the "waiting for stuff to grow" part but it doesn't really matter for me in New Leaf because I time travel. I might get annoyed in ACNH when things progress too slowly (not time travelling in that one) so its situations like that where I'm glad we have the bizarre feature of digging and replanting trees immediately. At least we possibly save some time and money!
Yes, except I felt this way about my entire NL town. I spent weeks if not a couple months meticulously choreographing all of my dreamies moving into the exact spots I wanted and then planning all of the bushes/public works projects.
Towards the end of it all I just wasn't satisfied. I do think I won't have the same problem this time around, what with all of the customizable features and more player freedoms.
oof yes lmao. i had changed around many areas in my towns because my ideas just didn't come out looking what i had in mind at all! it was always a big process of trials and errors, and.. a lot.. a lot of time and patience. though, in the end of it all, it really was worth it!
I feel the same way! I pathed the top half of my town, and I now hate it. I didn't do the bottom half yet because I need to plot reserve some spaces for my villagers that I am going to make move in. I dont know who I want yet, but I know I am going to have wolf link, lucky, and bob, but idk about the rest.
I remember one time I spent a bunch of money on the wisteria trellis and was so desperate to make it work in my town (when it was already 95% completed) and spent a bunch of time reworking an area to incorporate it into my landscape, only to realize it looked super ugly and out of place. You could tell that it did not belong there, no matter how much I tried to make it work. So I tore it down and put my landscape back the way it was. What a waste of time and resources!
Me! I reset my new leaf game and spent days and days trying to redo pretty much the same town with different name and some slight alterations. Anyways it felt physically frustrating and I had to stop. For now since new horizons is coming out pretty soon though, I saw no need to continue with new leaf. I?ll pick up where I left of in new horizons. Hopefully I don?t get as stressed.
I feel so frustrated about it not matching my vision of how it looks. I grew bushes that took 1 month to grow in the shape I wanted it and still didn’t work out sadly. It was this reason that it am remodeling my town. Some areas major change and only one area I had to change one thing. I jus5 feel like it is not going to work again. I hope it does.
