I got a mantis head model today from tree shaking.Doesn't sound all that good to me.I mostly get sticks,bells and wasps.
Do you ever get good stuff from shaking trees and do you even bother?

I try to shake every day. Sometimes I’m lazy and forget though. I only got one furniture last time though so I think I need to clear some flowers out from around the trees
Yes I really like them too. It makes a forest so full of life when there are weeds, flowers and bushes
I don't bother because I don't want to bother with wasps. I don't think I ever gotten something amazing, at least not better than random presents from villagers and balloons. Honestly, those two have been much better than tree presents in my experience.

I've gotten stuff from the trees that I could use, but generally it's not worth it. Easier to find someone who has what you want and catalog it.

Yeah sometimes! But I finally got the final achievement for shaking trees yesterday so I never have to do it again!

my island has almost max trees so nah, I got too lazy. I never got anything good from it. Ill do it for nook islands but then its just baby chairs...
Yeah weeds and non placed items, turnips outside will affect your rating.
I don't anymore because I'd have to dig out bushes and flowers to get to them. 
The first item I ever shook from a tree was bowling pins in WW.
They're gone now too.

I think I got some interesting furniture from trees, but I rarely bother anymore because I have a lot of trees, and also like 1/4 of them are surrounded by flowers/in somewhat difficult to reach areas... I tried to put a pattern down in front of every tree so I'd still be able to get furniture but... Haven't brought myself to so it for EVERY tree yet and rarely shake them anymore...

My roommate was stuck at a 4 rating since April. He never weeds, but has well decorated his island. I go over and clear out his weeds, but leaving a small portion that he wanted. Boom instant 5 star.

It's too difficult to shake trees on my island now, too many shrubs/flowers/fences/furniture that absorb whatever falls from the tree. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Same problem! I have too many trees and too many flowers. I have to dig up a flower just to pop balloons these days.
Can you get multiple furniture items the more trees you shake? Because if it's one hidden amongst all my trees, I'll never find it.
