Do you donate to the museum?

I just reset my town.. in my old town, I always donated what i could to the museum, but now I'm wondering if there's a worthy benefit to it. So, do you donate or not? What do you reap from donating?

You can't really get anything from finishing the museum, apart from the satisfaction of completion.

Yet, knowing this, I still donate everything I can to the museum in hopes of completing it one day. I guess it's also kind of neat how the game has a bunch of mini-objectives that the player can choose to complete or not.

I donate. I don't go to the museum often to hang out, but I want to see things when I do. LOL

i completed my museum. you can see the art in a larger format there. you can watch the sealife swimming and interacting with each other there. same with the bugs, you see them battling each other or doing other funny things. the fossils look cool. also, donations to the museum can unlock tools, wallpaper/flooring, and the model.

I absolutey donate until they are full. It's awesome to walk through and see villagers enjoying themseves.

I really want to complete my museum. It's something I've never done on any AC game.

I donate everything as soon as I get it, and I try and get everything both so I can finish my encyclopedia and so I can finish the museum.

If you do finish it, you can get some items for each exhibit (for instance jungle wall/floor for finishing the bug exhibit, I think), and there's the museum model that basically counts as a trophy, but I also think it's just cool to have it finished.

Yep I definitely donate. There's something really satisfying about finishing a section of the museum.

I also love how in NL they reward you with floors and wallpaper when you finish a section. Makes it worthwhile for me

I forgot about something important! If you don't donate to the museum, you won't be able to renovate it. That means you won't be able to build a caf?, either.

As soon as I catch something new off to museum it goes. Sometimes it hurts, like when it's worth a lot of bells (I'm rather poor ;P), but yeah. Since I don't like playing games "just to play" I'm aiming for getting 100% out of his game - get all sets, finish museum (and encyclopedia), etc.

Ha. you guys are inspiring me to keep donating. I only got sick of it after I reset my town, it seems so tedious to get all of that back. but I guess i should!

It's actually my #1 priority in the game. Mine's done now though so I can move on to caring about other things!

I always donate. As soon as I get it! I love wandering around in it with the villagers. Especially the bug exhibit.

I donate. At some point, I get so many extras of things I can just sell them off anyway (plus I want to unlock the cafe as soon as possible).

If I really need the amount of money a fossil would get me, I just hunt for stuff on the Island.

I always donate. I really liked the message in NL about "better see what my encyclopedia says about my new catch!" or whatever, because if I always donate the first one of something I get, then that message lets me know I have something new to donate.
