• Easter season is here! Here's what we have going on at The Bell Tree:
    • The egg decorating contest is back! Join TBT’s Fifth Egg Decorating Contest, now with two distinct categories: decorating and painting. Entries must be submitted by April 9th.
    • Starting this Friday at 7PM EDT, follow clues to search for eggs around the forum in TBT's Thirteenth Annual Easter Egg Hunt. New eggs will appear throughout the weekend and the hunt ends on April 6th!
    • Customize your profile by spending bells on any of our three recurring backdrops.

Do you curse a lot?

This world has become too adjusted to such a bad thing.

srsly
I never understood why it is so bad in the first place, nobody has ever died over hearing them.

Something about being strong feeling.

If someone says *censored.3.0* you it's pretty strong amirite.

Words bah, I never understood why people got offended by words, unless somebody makes fun of a family member who recently died. Buy saying "*censored.3.0* you?" there's no harm.

This

It's been psychologically proven that helps release stress/anger build up/tension etc

If it's meant to insult someone, well :l
It's just a word, don't let it offend you.

Well if someone said it to me then I'd definitely take offense, but those are just common douchers. But doing it to vent, I find no big issue.

Because they have such strong emotional force in them.

In my opinion, it depends on the context they're used in. IE in rap songs calling a woman a *censored.4.0* is derogatory term, but out of that context it's not nearly as offensive.

*censored.4.0*, please.

But yeah I guess it does depend on the way you use it.

Agreed.
Saying, "*censored.3.0*, I forgot my homework!"
and, "*censored.3.0* you!" are two completely different things.

Not Much, Only In A Moment When I Am Physicly Damaged.

To much, i swear 99% of the time for no real reason, its just made its way into my vocab. But in College/grandparents/other formal occasions i do not swear as i have self control. But i do still swear quite loudly if i was to stub my toe or hurt myself

Totally legit. Homework's a *censored.3.0*ing *censored.4.0*.

I rarely swear. Also, to you 5 year olds out there, "Oh my God" and "Hell" are not bad words.

Yeah. I see them as just like any other word. Only reason they're any different is because that's what our society has made them out to be. If potato was considered a curse word, and the F-bomb was perfectly fine, you'd never say "potato" as much as you said "*censored.3.0*".... It's just what we've made them out to be.

I laugh when my little cousins say "stupid" is a bad word. XDD

Anyways, I swear sometimes. To spice up a conversation.
