I've noticed people can sell villagers for millions of bells, and a lot of people say the villagers are '100%' original- but this isn't really true. Since villagers will talk about their previous town mayor, town tune, etc. possibly indefinitely, they aren't 100% original.
As I go through the painful process of getting each of my characters on my own, I wonder how many other people won't buy villagers from others for this reason. So, how many of you care about having a 100% original villager to a T? Or does it not matter to you, and you just care about the villager's house, clothing, and catchphrase?
Personally, getting a villager in my first town for free, I got tired of hearing about a random person I don't even know other than one encounter.
