Bells

I've noticed people can sell villagers for millions of bells, and a lot of people say the villagers are '100%' original- but this isn't really true. Since villagers will talk about their previous town mayor, town tune, etc. possibly indefinitely, they aren't 100% original.
As I go through the painful process of getting each of my characters on my own, I wonder how many other people won't buy villagers from others for this reason. So, how many of you care about having a 100% original villager to a T? Or does it not matter to you, and you just care about the villager's house, clothing, and catchphrase?

Personally, getting a villager in my first town for free, I got tired of hearing about a random person I don't even know other than one encounter.

I've adopted villagers out and I think I've adopted one or two. I couldn't care less if they were 100% original. It's the villager I want, not the house.

i dont mind or give a dirt if my villlagers talk about their previous towns! They love to sing their old town tune 2! 9 out of 10 of my villagers are adoped xD

All of my villagers came from either my first town or were bought from someone else. I care about having the villager, not where they came from. I try to adopt them out when they're ready to leave, so other people can have their dreamies too.

I don't care about the extra dialogue, but I hate when they sing their past town's town tune because it's usually really long and terrible

4 of my villagers are adopted: 2 from here and 2 from one of my best mates. I like it when they come from other towns, I feel like it gives them a backstory and some history.

I have both adopted and adopted out villagers. I don't mind if they're not original in the least. I also don't mind if they speak about their past towns and such - I actually think it's kind of cute. In the end, it's the villager that I want, their originality and the rest is just not that important.

I like waiting until they've adjusted to my town and forget about their old town. It makes me a little sad sometimes, but I'm always thankful for the person for giving them to me.

I didn't know that they stopped talking about their towns!

All my villagers are adopted or bought from here~ I don't mind that they occasionally bring up the past, tunes, people, I kind of like it most of the town tunes they hum/sing are really nice, and overall just funny on what they tell me about the previous mayor xD
I guess they aren't 10000% perfect; but it's fine I just want a genuinely new, fresh villager etc c:

I don't care about having an original villager, I can always replace their stuff. I don't have an original Ruby and I still don't but i'm just happy to have her around. My Ruby still talks about the past two towns she's been in, even the one before the one I adopted her from. I don't mind, it shows she's come a long way and I find it cute. It helps you to know what their mayors were like, before they came here. What I don't like is when visitors talk to the animals, I don't mind it being the mayor but with visitors it can get overbearing.

The only thing I really care about is if they have a really stupid catchphrase. Even then I would still adopt them, because I know I can change it. My Ruby came wearing a shirt that was designed by somebody from another town, (or the person I adopted her from) and I didn't mind it. She changed it within a few weeks on living in town tbh. I feel like it's really awkward when people ask is so and so original, fair enough people have their tastes but wouldn't you just be happy to have the villager especially if they're hard to find. I really wouldn't wanna miss out on that tbh.

Although, I would be annoyed if there was plenty of fish in their room. So personally I buy villagers a lot, but I don't trade because I don't trust people enough to trade, because i've heard so many stories about people running away with other people's villagers.

I love lived in villagers - and proof that people actually play the game. xD
Gimme custom town tunes! Show me letters! Tell me about how much you miss your last home's native fruit!

I like how they talk about their old town and sing their old town tunes! It's cute and kinda sad sometimes.
I really don't get the obsession with original villagers, I like changing up their houses or if I liked the original layout fixing it gives me an excuse to write them letters. Though there are some villagers whos houses seemingly cant be fixed I understand it then.

I adopt villagers a lot and never minded them mentioning past towns. I actually like them reminding me of which tbt'er gave me the villager. :D

9 out of 10 villagers in my town are adopted, the one not being adopted is Diana. I'm not a fan of their added dialogue of their past town. ><

29/30 villagers in my three towns will be adopted from elsewhere..... the one exception being Lobo in Rutabaga who turned out to be an original in town weirdly enough and his house was in a perfect spot!

I don't care, because yeah I only care about the villager.... it makes them more real if they talk about the different places they've been so its kinda neat

Yes, many of my villagers were adopted from other towns and I don't care if they blah blah blah about their past town. Because they barely do and I don't spend my time talking to them all day.

In Vista: Caroline, Snake, Bonbon and Doc are from other towns.

In Chocolat: Poppy, Sheldon, Ricky, Mint, Cally, Agent S and soon O'Hare are from other towns.

In Moonview: Sally, Nibbles, Blaire, Chadder, Ricky, and Flurry

All of my villagers are adopted. Don't really see the point for going for 110% original villagers when it's triple the effort it takes to get regular original villagers from trading, so for me it looks like effort for nothing.

Three of my villagers are from other towns, and I like hearing what they have to say about their old towns :3 Punchy's old mayor was a girl, but he seems to have forgotten that, since he always calls his old mayor a he XD

As for originality, I don't mind if they're unoriginal- it gives them a little added personality :3 Besides, they're going to end up unoriginal in my town anyway... XD

I would buy or sell villagers, but my WiFi is rather bad >>. I have my cycle town to obtain my dreamies ^^. And I don't really care if the villagers original or not. I adopted Lucky from my old town before I deleted it. It seems he forgot my old mayor, he never talked about her, but he hums my old town tune ^^
