I have 3 villagers I adopted (Rolf, Fang and Sly) but I don't really understand why people fuss over their originality. It's THAT villager I want, not their house. I can give them anything I want when they're in my town, and that's what I'd also do if they were really original. Plus, I don't really care when they bring up their past; I think it's cute when they sing the tune.
Do you buy/trade villagers?

I think it's really adorable when they bring up their past. It gives them more personality and the town tunes are almost always really cute. Plus, I think it's really adorable when they they things like they wonder how everyone in the previous town is doing. :3

I don't adopt my villagers all the time, but I'm fine with them talking about where they lived before my town.

yeah i do and i don't mind them talking about past towns. it's a bit annoying when villagers from places called stuff like Butt or w/e start talking about their last town but i mean it's not that annoying so idrc lmao
