Yeah I already have them all planted, but I don’t like all that color so I was thinking of removing and leaving one fruit only. However if the villagers will ask like in new leaf, maybe that’s a bad idea.
But if you'r worried I'd say plant a good 5 of each other tree you won't use, let them grow, chop 'em down and store the fruit, that way you have a surplus of 15ea which you can quickly replant if need be.
I haven't had them ask for fruit specifically but they do seem more enthusiastic about being gifted foreign fruit.
Aside from the miles achieve, I'm not sure if it factors into your perfect town score. I wouldn't think it would since I think the greenery tallied is just amount total of trees and flowers.
Villagers tend to like foreign fruit better. Also, they sell for 500 each (coconuts being an exception, as they sell for 250 a piece), so they can be a good source of Bells.
If you're like me and don't want to ruin a villager's home with furniture gifts. They like foreign fruit just as much. You could have one foreign fruit orchard off into a corner of your island just for that purpose.
