Do villagers stop talking about their old town?

From my experience and from what I've heard, no.

Yeah I don't think they ever stop, although it seems to get rarer over time. I've had Kyle (my oldest invited villager) for almost three years now and he brings up his old town maybe once every few months? It doesn't bother me though, I think it's cute when they sing their old town tunes

Unfortunately, if you don't want villagers to talk about their old towns, you have to get them from the campsite or random move-ins.

Although it can be fun to try to build a story about what their old life was like and why they left their town, like thinking up a backstory for them and whatnot. Could be fun to have fun with it.

I like when they talk about their old town cuz it makes them more realistic since they have memories and didn't just appear in my town

I adopted Pinky three years ago and she still talks about her old town,so yeah,they never really stop.I think some villagers mention their old towns more than others.I have other adopted villagers that hardly ever bring up their old towns.

I actually like it. I got my dreamies from awesome people on here. It's like a quilt seeing where they came from and how hard you worked to get them.

That's horrible. You can ask Isabelle to fix it.

Cyrano still talks about my spare town that is now erased. Worries about the villager and how the town is. I usually write him a letter and tell him that I spoke to the mayor or visited the town and everyone is okay. It would be mean to tell him the town is gone.

I only accept original villagers for this reason and my own perfectionism. The villagers also sing songs from the other towns. It's cool to hear other town themes!

The more they talk about it decreases in frequency, but no :c every once in awhile a villager will sing their town's tune and it's only slightly annoying now.

no, they never stop talking about it, but it does happen less frequently. they mainly talk about the town tune of their old town or the mayor that lived there. it gets a bit annoying, but u get used to it

I find it cute actually! All the towns from which I have adopted have beautiful town tunes so it's cool to see them sing a different song than usual. Also, as someone said earlier, it gives them more personality and a backstory of some sort.
