Do villagers still invite you over/come over?

Hi! Sorry if this has been asked before. I wanted to know if this was still a thing, since I've yet to have a villager invite me for a visit or drop by uninvited. I miss it a lot!

Ahhh that's such a shame!! I really loved setting up a time for a visit.

I miss it a lot too, hopefully it comes back as I've not heard anyone mention about it. It was nice when the villagers let us set a time for when they would visit us, I always look forward to having them over.
