Do u think tom nook is greedy or a nice guy

I think he's nice. I like him better in NL because he talks less. :p

I love his backstory <3
I'm sorry but #sableandnook

Anyways, I don't think he's greedy at all lol. Sure he wants money for the stuff but it's his job, he needs money to live xD

And he dosnt even make you pay it right away!! He's certianly a very nice guy :)

I think that Tom Nook is a downright saint, especially in the WW and CF games. You come to town with no money and no idea where you'll be staying, and Nook offers you a home on a no-interest, pay-at-your-own-pace loan.

In NL, you come to town as mayor, so his offer seems more out of obligation than generosity.

Still, I think everyone wishes that RL real-estate was half that pleasant because that would be lovely!

I don't love him, or hate him, he's in between for me. I think he is somewhat greedy, especially seeing how he raised his kids. (OOo, bells, SO SHINY!) So there is definitely greed there, but I mean if you think in real life what you pay for a house and stuff he really isn't that bad. I think for all the work and renovations it's reasonable. And since you get as much time as you need it's great, and with a lump sum of bells you can just do a room a day which I really like(pay off loan, talk to nook, ask for expansion, next day talk to nook, pay off loan, talk to nook, ask for expansion..etc). I wish there were more dialogue with him and stuff, but I haven't played the other games so I don't know much about him. He's adorable though, him and his babies.

Aren't they his nephews? Also, I think the love of shiny bells is a comment on raccoons. They are attracted to shiny things beyond reason.

The way some people portray Tom Nook, you'd think he really was some murderous mafia boss who won't hesitate to knock you off if you don't pay up within a certain time frame.

Sure, his mortgages are expensive, but that's what the Island and Action Replay cheats are for. And besides, he doesn't hound you to pay up, there's no interest rate, and you can pay on your own schedule. Also, in New Leaf, upgrading your house is now completely optional. He doesn't upgrade your house without your consent anymore.

Personally, I love the cute little guy. If I were to describe Tom Nook, I'd call him a gold-hearted rich uncle. You'll never convince me that he's anything but a good guy. And I don't care what stories you make up.

Yeah way more laid back than you'd really imagine a landlord to be. Can't take him for granted!
