Do thunderstorms appear in dreams?

So it's thundering & lightning in my town and I updated my dream so people could see my town during a thunderstorm. But, I don't know if thunder & lightning even appears when you're dreaming. I've seen rain in dream towns, but never thunder & lightning.

Does anyone know, or could someone visit real quick and tell me?

I always thought whenever you saved it is when it will appear so when I eventually get around to being completely done and happy with my island I am going to TT to spring with all the petals falling down.
