Do the villagers wear the clothes from Someone from Anyisle?

I was kinda noticing how easily villagers tend to pick up designs from the Able Sisters when you create them. But I've never seen them wearing the preset designs in the store. I kinda prefer them wearing clothing items rather than designs, so if I don't touch the Anyisle designs, will they not wear them?

From my experience, they don't. I haven't put up any custom designs ever across playing on a few islands and villagers tend to stick to the stuff I give them from the Able Sisters.

same here, I didn't add any custom designs so they just wear their default clothes or the ones I gifted them

They don't, and honestly, I'm so thankful. I hate that green shirt with the yellow bird from New Leaf with a burning passion. Every single one of my villagers wore that ugly thing at one point, it was terrible

I dont think so. They can look at them but that is the closest they will get to them.

Nope, I instantly replaced the clothes with my designs so the villagers won’t wear the anyisle clothing.

I’m so glad they don’t because in past games I get so tired of my villagers constantly telling me how amazing this shirt designed by Someone from A Town is.

I'm not too sure about the fact that they don't. I haven't touched my Able's designs and yesterday Chief wore a sweater from who knows where. I got Chief in a trade ages ago and he was original so I don't know where he got that from. Needless to say I was pretty upset about it
