Do the Nooklings tell you they're going to upgrade the store?

I did the quest for Nook's Cranny on the first Saturday of playing the game, and had it built by the Sunday... which means today should be the day before it closes for remodelling.

I seem to remember somebody posting a thing where the Nooklings would say that they're going to be shutting up shop tomorrow similar to previous games, but I haven't had it yet.

Is this a thing, or am I just a day too early?

Yes, they tell you. Isabelle mentioned it in her announcement this morning for me, and then the Nooklings mentioned it again when I went into their store.

You'll also get things on your bulliton board to let you know the shop will be closed and another that says the shop is reopened.

Isabelle told me today they will be closed for upgrades tomorrow. It's too early to tell whether Timmy and Tommy do too or not. Point is, you'll know when Isabelle tells you. It's on BB too.

I am on day 33 of playing. Since I started on the 19th, and built the shop on the 20th. It has now been 30 days since Nook's Cranny opened as it's been suggested in the guide.

Yup I got the announcement today that they'll be closed tomorrow. I have the same conditions as the poster above me (playing since release on the 19th, every day, no TT)

I got the announcement today as well. I guess its locked based on playtime and maybe having spent some kind off minimum sum of money at Nooks.

But yeah, there was also a message on the bulletin board and Nook's mentioned it as well.

they do. i don’t remember if isabelle mentioned anything but the nooklings did tell me and it was also posted on the bulletin board
