Do newer copies of "Welcome Amiibo" still come with an amiibo card?

I bought two brand new copies of New Leaf Welcome Amiibo. Both looked factory sealed. One came with an Amiibo card and one did not. I'm not sure which one was older or what the difference was, but it doesn't seem like all copies are guaranteed to have a card included.

I have the digital version of New Leaf (that I upgraded to WA) and it still let me transfer my town to the new WA cartridge. I can’t believe I didn’t know this feature existed I would have gotten a cartridge much sooner. I’m so happy to have my town on a cartridge now.

Was there a seal on it or did it look shoddy? I only bought one copy of WA and it came with Raddles card. They may have stopped doing that with the newer ones, but if you find one from when WA first came out you'll be guaranteed a RV card.

On Amazon the product is typically clearly labeled on if it will include a card or not.

I got New Leaf before welcome amiibo came out but I'm pretty sure that welcome amiibo doesn't come with a card. I'm not too sure though. My little sister got welcome amiibo and she didn't get anything, so yeah.
I didn't get anything from HHD! Was I missing out?! D:i don't think they did to begin with
i got a copy from the supermarket a while back and it didn't come with an amiibo
my HHD game did though ☆
probably not, my copy came with an amiibo of luna i really don't like her...

When New Leaf was re-released to have the update on the cartridge the first print copies all came with one single welcome amiibo card. Any copies made after the initial release did not include the card. Happy Home Designer always came with a series 1 special card in all physical copies released.

iirc the only amiibo cards that could come with HHD were special characters like Nook, Isabelle, etc., but no villagers. None of them were exclusive to the game though and can be obtained through the usual series 1-4 amiibo card packs. So unless you are a big collector and missing some specific special character cards, I wouldn't say you're missing too much.
I got a card with my copy of HHD. It was what got me into collecting all the cards lol.

I bought ACNL Welcome Amiiboo in uhm, 2017 I think? Something like that. And it did not include a card for me atleast.

My two copies of NL didn’t come with any Amiibo cards and I bought them in 2017 and 2018. HHA I do remember coming with a card and I had gotten Nat.
I got one with mine. When Welcome Amiibo dropped, I bought a copy off Amazon to gift to someone for their birthday, and it included an Amiibo of Goldie.i don't think they did to begin with
