Do New Villages move in after a villager in your town moved out?

Hello! I need help! My villager Teddybmoved out recently and I was wondering if new villagers move in quickly? Because I was waiting for my order in the Villager Plaza thread so I got worried thanks for helping me out!

Not if you have nine villagers. To get the tenth, you either get them from the campsite, ask them to move to your town while they're in boxes from someone else's town, get them through streetpass and wifi because of the void, or using an amiibo. If you have eight villagers or less however, there will be a new random villager moving in.
