do i keep sherb or beau?

i'm so torn.

i have 2 crankies and 2 smugs already so i have to make room for a jock.
i've had beau since i started the game, found him on my first island. beau nicknamed me tater tot and he's got his ugly little starter home that i crafted furniture for.
sherb is cute, and hard to obtain since he has no amiibo. my friends keep saying he looks like me and it makes me happy but i just don't know if i'm that attached to him. but i'm still struggling to give him away.

I would choose to keep Sherb, just because he's new and harder to obtain. At least until you can get his picture maybe! Plus you could always get Beau back if you let him go and end up regretting it. Then he'll have his actual house instead of the starter house So that's kind of a bonus!

Personally based on your villagers I would keep Sherb and get rid of Beau.

Like you said Sherb is harder to obtain and Beau has the starter house as well.

I feel like you probably have more memories with Beau and are more attached to him, but I think it would be good to let him go. You can always make new memories with Sherb! So, my vote is letting Beau go.

I used to be in the same predicament. I had both at one point but ended up moving Sherb.since I had Beau in my NL town. I'm more attached to him. If you value Sherb because he is new and hard to obtain, then by all means, keep him. If you're more attached with Beau and you don't mind that rarity kind of thing, keep Beau.

i vote keep beau because like xara said, there seems to be sentiment behind wanting him to stay. i understand that sherb doesn't have an amiibo yet and that makes him harder to obtain, but i'm sure amiibos for the newer villagers will be released at some point

but really, it boils down to who you want around and not who gets the most votes

this is the only reason i'm very hesitant to give up beau. if he leaves and i get him back, he won't remember me. he won't call me tater tot anymore and i feel like it'll make me sad.​

hmm, you could find someone to hold beau for you in the hold my villager thread and then get him back? ^^ he'd remember you then, and i *think* he'll be in his actual house.

i could but i also worry that i'd be leaving him with someone for too long and they'd eventually have to let him go ;; ahh this is so stressful lol​

hmm i mean, most people on here are pretty trustworthy with these kinda things ^^ do you TT? i'd take him for you if i had a spot open right now but no one has pinged me yet >_>
i understand your worries though, but i had someone from here who held my villager on NL and in NL it took way, way, WAAAYY longer (you used to have to cycle through 16 villagers to get the same one back) and the person held Jacques for me for at least a month if not longer. as long as you give him to someone who has alot of trades, and a high rating, i'm sure you have nothing to worry about in that regard!

I had both Sherb and Beau in my town, and decided to let Sherb go. He is very cute, but he just didn't really fit into my island that well. You can't go wrong with either one. Personally I like Beau's design more, but practically Sherb is harder to obtain because he doesn't have an Amiibo card.

Keep Beau! In these situations I try to step back and look at my choices as if there were no online community - if you were just playing the game solo, offline, totally independent of what anyone else was thinking or doing, who would you choose? I think that will give you the right answer.

i think i'm going to keep beau. ;;
someone offered to take him, and even already opened a plot but i'm sitting here tearing up and trying not to cry while cycling to get him to move haha.
i think i might offer to give them 20 nmts for their trouble, do yall think that would be enough? i feel so bad i just don't think i can part with him.​
