Do dream suite streetpasses count?

I noticed ages ago lots of random people on my streetpass, and i never take my ds out with me, and found out they're from the people whose towns i've visited through the dream suite

recently i've been trying to get all my badges, but the streetpass one seems impossible for me, i was wondering, do the streetpasses you get from the dream suite count?

I don't think you can get street passes from dream suite, as I've never heard of that happening before. I think for the street pass badge, you need to actually take your DS with you and pass by people who also have acnl, then their house should show up in the showcase. I'm not sure if passing the same person multiple times counts, but I think it should?

I don't think getting streetpasses from the Dream Suite is possible. I've gotten my Gold Dreamer Badge and have never gotten a streetpass from there. They're two different things. The Dream Suite deals with visiting dream towns through the internet while streetpass is a brief connectivity signal from other people's 3DS systems.

It may be possible that the streetpassed houses you see are the employees from Nintendo who helped localize NL. (Reggie's was one of the first houses in the HHA Showcase I ever got and I hadn't streetpassed with anyone.)
