Do accesories prevent tans?

I was just wondering if thigs like the accesories prevent tans, because im not too keen on hats, and if I use an umberella I cant use my tools, which I need. So do you know from experiance if accesories and glasses prevent tans? If yes can you give something you know will work?

Yeah, I thought that but ive heard of a few people just wearing accesories outside and not getting tanned.

Some accessories do prevent tans. I know the lemon and cucumber packs do

at the end of section 50 in Liquefy's item list there is a list of items that prevent a tan

Cucumber Pack
Facial Mask
Gas Mask
Hockey Mask
Jester's Mask
Lemon Pack
Masquerade Mask

In my own opinion, I don't like the look of the accessories, so I just stick with hats. Not all of them are ugly. I personally find the straw boater and the straw hat to be really cute and have a summer feel to it.
