DLC ( mayby a stupid question)

hello,

my question is maybe stupid but I was wondering if it's possible to get a dlc from the post office of another town ( from another country)


ex : I am in france so I get the EU DLC ( right now the firework table) , if I visit someone from another town ( a person who live in america , is it possible to get a pumkin pie from the post office ? )

I have never try & I would like to know

can someone answer me please ?

I've never tried. I have the feeling the answer is no, though. Especially because the pumpkin pie is a SpotPass DLC and not the regular monthly DLC (which is also the fireworks table for every other country in the world). The SpotPass DLCs tend to be region *and* IP blocked. Your best bet to get the pumpkin pie is to find someone to trade with.

you can change your wifi (or somethng technical) to the american version, to get the american dlc. ive done it before, but i dont know how to change it to the americn one... but anyway, it can be done.

The trick you're talking about is when you change the name of your router to be the name of the place or Nintendo Zone giving out the DLC.

However, it's still IP blocked. I have the US version of the game. But I live in Japan and have a Japanese ISP. I can't get the pumpkin pie, a US DLC, because it sees I don't have a US IP address. I couldn't get the Best Buy DLC either. I had to get all of those from a kind online friend who lives in the US.

I also couldn't get the 7-11 DLC from my Japanese 7-11 store because it only works with the Japanese game (hence my region blocked comment). I had to get this through trading stuff.

You will only be able to do SpotPass DLC with the router name change trick if 1) you have the correct regioned game and 2) you have an IP address of that country. That's why you won't be able to get the pumpkin pie unless you trade or until it comes out to Europe *or* you wait until the Harvest Festival holiday in November (can get it then too).

Not trying to rain on your parade or anything with this bad news. I'm just telling you what I and others have figured out about SpotPass DLC.

i've already try to change the wifi name ( well i used my phone the get the nintendo zone dlc like shaved ice lampe by using it as a wifi hotspot ) & i've got the same result with _BESTBUY and _the cloud as wifi name : EU nintendo zone dlc

would someone let me come in his town to try and see what I got ? if I can get anything from the post office because i don't even know if that's possible

DJ is correct. The Nintendo Zone hack is ONLY useful because you do NOT need to be in a valid Nintendo Zone location. There is no mixing or acquiring DLC from another region. Your IP determines if you're EU or NA.
