Disappearing Fishing Rod

Another weird thing happened to me while playing today. My fishing rod is gone. I noticed when I saw a huge fish in the ocean and tried to catch it. When I checked my pockets to get out my fishing rod, it was... gone. I don't know what happened to it... It's as if it just vanished. Everything else was there. I ended up having to buy a new one.

I normally wouldn't care that much?it's just 500 bells, easy to make up?but with the Resetti thing the other day... Well, it's making me paranoid.

or maybe a sibling is messing with your game?

I'm an only child, so it's not my siblings.

Maybe I did sell it and forget, but somehow I doubt that. It wouldn't make much sense; I would make more bells selling fish than fishing rods.

Did you visit use the train station?

If you traveled to an empty memory card, but you just go ahead and log back into your character without using the travel data, you will lose all your items and have a gyroid face.

I haven't used the train yet. And it's only the fishing rod that's missing.

are you SURE that the disc is not scratched? there's something wrong with your game.

or maybe you keep forgetting you do stuff, like selling rods and resetting.

i'm just kidding. i don't think you need any medical assistance. if my game would do all this weird stuff, i'd be scared too.

Something may be corrupted, either the disc or the memory card.

maybe it's the disk, it may not be scratched but it could still have errors when the system is trying to read it.
my Paper Mario game skips and has errors when i enter to many battles one after each other (it shut off during the pit of 100 trials)
and it is not scratched.

this is a tad weirder than the Resetti thing. But the Resetti thing WAS a glitch. This one might be a glitch too. Is this game used? Some guy could've hacked it and then tried to fix it, leaving the glitches.

Okay, something else happened now... All my shirts disappeared from my inventory. Everything else is there: all my furniture, bugs, fish, fruit, etc. Maybe my game IS glitched up somehow...

It's probably just a really early copy from launch that has a lot of bugs in it.

Yet another weird thing happened today: I found a couple pieces of furniture missing from my room, and found them on the ground outside. This game is obviously glitched up for some reason. It's obviously a little annoying, but it's also kinda... interesting. I kinda want to see what happens next. At this rate, I might keep a glitch log in the Blog Tree, to avoid cluttering this forum with new topics for every glitch.

Knowing that your face got messed up, an error with your birthday happened, and your fishing rod is disappearing, it's probably time to get a new game.

Not to mention Resetti appeared even with you saving, some furniture's dissapearing, the list goes on...
