What subtle differences have you noticed among the same personalities?
For example, Maple and Molly talk about the shirt they are wearing but Fauna never has with me.

When I had Claudia, she never told me boys can wear makeup since it is 2015, but Diana has.

There are a lot of differences between my villagers.

Moe is a lot more childish, while Punchy is more mature. Moe also talks about food all the time, while Punchy doesn't. Punchy also idolizes Kid Cat and talks about him all the time, where Moe kind of sticks to himself and does his own thing. Olivia is a lot more friendly than Ankha. Ankha is nice too, but she kind of sticks to herself a lot. Neither of them act snooty though, even though they are. Tangy, Felicity and Rosie are all so different despite being peppy. Felicity and Tangy are both carefree and have the typical peppy personality, but they seem a lot more mature than Rosie. I don't know if it's because I haven't bonded with this new Rosie, but she seems like a teenage girl stereotype compared to the other two. She is always talking about fashion and being famous, while the other two don't.

I don't remember as many differences like this in the original. It's renewed my love for the game. The villagers I had always were my number 1 interest in the game.

Also your Rosie sounds just like the Chrissy I have in my town. I love her though. She's what I expected from my peppy, although I liked the peppies better in the original game. They weren't as self absorbed. I'm thinking about Huggy the koala.

Maybe it's just me, but Penelope seems more chill than Flora. She also gets along really well with Avery, which strikes me as odd, because I'd read that peppy and cranky villagers aren't supposed to get along? Anyway, it's kind of cute how Penelope and Flora have the same personality type, but they seem to balance each other out. It could be that Penelope has been in my village for a while, whereas Flora is a newer resident?

Punchy strikes me as a lot more mellow than Spork was, and he seems to talk a bit less about food. He seems less "lazy" and more... laid-back. Content. He's very much a calming sort of presence. I love having him around.

I recently replaced Tipper with Baabara, and the latter doesn't seem snooty at all. She actually seems kind of elegant. She reminds me of an old-school actress somehow. I could actually believe that she's a famous performer who gave it up to move to a little town in the middle of nowhere.

I do wonder if these differences actually exist, or if it's all in our perceptions... but I'm also not sure if it matters.

LOL your description of Baabara reminds me of Flurrie from Paper Mario TTYD

I've noticed differences within personality types. You can have two snooties in town, for example, and one is uptight while the other is friendly. Willow is a friendly snooty in my town. Freya recently moved out, but she was rather cold. She wanted to hang out all the time and I constantly gave her perfect fruit and ran her errands, but it took 5 or 6 months to get her picture! I was friends with Willow for a couple of weeks and I got her picture.

I feel like Portia is more snooty than other snooties i've had previously, but i still love her compared to Ankha who I find really nice for a snooty.

Yeah that's the reason I let Freya go. I wasn't feeling it.

My Marina seems snooty almost. In her convos with everyone else she seems to get in subtle criticisms about them. While Nana seems more motherly and kind to me. Gayle on the other hand is almost a lazy because she talks about food alllllll the time. My Cookie is very sweet to me and tells me I've made her life better by being in it. Flora and Puddles live right next to each other and have similar personalities. Puddles is very hyper while I rarely find Flora not on Main Street. Neither of my Snooty villagers are very rude to me but Freya sends me a lot more gifts than Miranda (only because she's been in town longer). Poor Vladimir is the only boy in my town but he is definitely very protective of the girls. The other day he said he was patrolling around Fuchsia's house for pitfalls because she was worried. It was cute.

i had phil in my second town and he talked about how he's the only fashionista in the town while henry who is in my main town never talks about fashion. exept asking me how does he outfits looks.

I have Paula and Pashmina, who are both uchis. They're two different kinds of 'big sister', as Paula sets more of an example, she's very reserved and calm, and a little silly, whereas Pashmina is more of a 'I'm your big sister and I will protect you no matter what' kind of uchi. Like, she talks about fights and sports a lot, but Paula is more like a normal villager.

Lazies are my favorite personality in ACNL, half of my dreamies are lazy and I was really sure, I had heard everything lazy neighbours say in the game. Then Nate moved in. I didn?t even like him until I started talking to him. He talks much less about food and sleep than other lazies and much more about the other villagers. There have also been some hilarious conversations between him and other villagers :p So yes, after all the lazies I have had in my two towns he still managed to surprise me.

I had Kyle in my old town and Marshal in my current one. They're very different, as Kyle was a huge flirt, while Marshal is just a natural softie; their sentences are barely similar, which surprised me. Kyle would be doing smooth moves like, "Would you like me to protect you as well?" while chuckling, but Marshal's all like, "I saw this star and I thought of you..." while blushing and acting shy.

Also, I don't think I've noticed Muffy's attitude in other uchi villagers. When I'd talk to her, she'd sometimes bring up stuff about Marshal, saying, "What does that idiot want again?" which I haven't heard from other uchis. Muffy's so funny when it comes to Marshal constantly bugging her, it's adorable. x)

I have O'hare and Graham in my town and they're pretty different alright. O'hare seems to be more of a laid back villager that's into retro things and loves collecting tropical fish, while Graham is........ very odd.

He flirts with other villagers and me, always dances, he always talks about weird things like who keeps watching him, having relations with a famous secretary and he always sends me strange letters about fashion and gives me tons of shoes.

Diana seems to be less snooty than Portia. When I had Truffles, I thought she was a snooty villager at first so when I learned that she was a peppy villager I was surprised since she seemed to act a bit mean sometimes, unlike Rosie.

I agree there are differences. Lolly has write me a letter and gave me some sort of plant, no other normal villager has done that to me. Tia is also normal and acts a lot sweeter for some reason in my eyes anyway. Bunnie is ALWAYS talking about Benedict, how she spies on him etc and i think its cute like she's looking out for him. I can't think of anything else lol.

Edit: OH when i had Derwin he was the exact twin of Benedict except Derwin was sick like alllll the time. Benedict has been sick twice in the year i have had him (hes been there from the beginning).

Genji is my jock and he talks about Japanese heroes and samurais.

I have to admit, there ARE differences I had seen among my villagers.

PEPPY - Sprinkle was a starter and good friends with Puck, but was THAT demanding she was just hard to please. Rosie seemed like a much nicer girl-next-door, but still had impossible dreams in her head.

NORMAL - Pekoe was always polite, respectful and had calm values of Asian culture, but put herself down more than the other villagers. Molly can be seen more as a sweet little girl that works hard for the future, kinda like your elementary school brainboxes. And Lolly appears to be the most optimistic and outgoing out of the lot.

LAZY - Puck was very laid back to the point he masks himself a lot when it came to negative emotions - not to mention the most naive when he thought my furniture gifts were me raiding his house! Beau, on the other hand, spends more of his time outside and wants to be seen like a real man - even taking lessons from Monty once.

CRANKY - Well, neither T-Bone nor Monty acted very grouchy toward me at all yet. The only real difference I can see is that Monty had been more friendly since he moved in and T-Bone has a lot of pride in his house.

SMUG - Kyle constantly flirted with me while he was here. Pietro, on the other hand, loves to entertain but I've only had him in town for a few days. I'll need more time to think about that.

I can't say much for the other personalities because I've only had one each of those so far.

I have 3 Crankies.

Kabuki: He's a kindly sensei who generally looks out for they younger villagers. He's always encouraging me and everyone and making sure we stay safe

Ricky: He grew up in Texas and has a Southern twang in how he speaks. He's VERY set in his ways and will let you know if you're doing something wrong!

Rasher: He's kinda anti social but one of the more cheerful crankies. He always wears a smile but his house is literally a pigsty

I also have 2 Smug

Hans is..... Out Loud and Proud and often flirts with me but is overall respectful to my personal space. He likes cold weather and is a snowboard champion

Pietro is my entertainer. He was in the circus but retired to settle down. I think he's crushing on Sydney...
