Did you have to give up villagers for new amiibo villagers?

I didn't want to start a new town, but I fell in love with Felyne...while living in a village of 10 perfect villagers. I thought pretty hard about this and I feel the villager I'm going to give up is Benjamin. The majority of my villagers are adopted so giving up Benji is going to be pretty hard, but I feel it would be worth it.

If I had a second choice it would probably be Colton but my friend wouldn't let me (He came from his town).

Did you have to make the hard decision of replacing a villager for a special amiibo villager?

I kicked a few villagers out, but I certainly wouldn't call it giving them up. I had been wanting them out for a while. Now that I have the villagers I hated out of my town, I'm probably going to have to make some hard decisions. There are a few villagers that I didn't think I'd end up liking so much, like Olaf! I think I might just cycle out my Amiibo villagers with other Amiibo villagers at this point. That way, if I change my mind, I can always scan them back in. Best of luck in making your perfect town! You could always have a friend hold on to a villager you're having trouble giving up.

I'm on the same boat as you. I get attached to my villagers after having them for awhile which sucks because there are so many villagers I want in my town now like Erik and Papi but I can't let anyone go. Plus I don't feel like plot resetting again and my town is complete so I have no space for another resident house.

Yes I did. I recently gave up Stitches for Raddle, and soon. I'll give up Jacques for Boris and Skye for Ketchup.

Well, they are Welcome Amiibo villagers. But you're talking about amiibo figure villagers. My mistake. I gave up Mira for Vich?, but she didn't fit in. So I moved her out. And seeing as I didn't have a Mira amiibo card, I'll use Cherry as a substitute until I get the Mira amiibo card.

i just recently restarted right before the update so i planned my new towns around the new villagers/having amiibo cards. so personally i didn't...and i'm glad, bc idk who i would've gotten rid of to get new people. i probably would've just bought another cart lol (which i'm gonna have to do when i get the sanrio cards, tbh...)

I remember I had to give up Molly to get W. Link. T^T Even my mom was a bit upset (I got Molly from her town), but at least she got Lionel from my town in return. ^3^

I decided to give up my whole town basically...I love the LOZ villagers so they all have to move in. I also loved Inkwell as soon as I saw him, so I decided I will be moving all the splatoon villagers in. When the Sanrio cards come, I'll be inviting Toby, Chelsea and Marty.
I'm going to miss some of my current villagers, Marshal especially. I've had him a long time now longer than any other villager
I can at least get him back in my second town with an amiibo card though, so it's not like it's an irreversible mistake if I go ahead

Not on my first town but in my second everyone is moving to make way for the LoZ villagers. Wolf link and Epona just moved into my town and I love their designs so much it's worth it, besides I only lost a random move in and Tiffany so not too big a deal. I plan to get the others to move in soon though and letting go of Cookie will be harder.

I love Felyne too, I just ordered that amiibo myself. It will be such a cute addition to your town I'm sure .
