Did you ever lost your game data?

I have lost my first town in 2016 December 19th because l lost my data. I remember when l first went on the game to the menu screen and saw this message text having a red box around it saying my data files were deleted. It happened because l made another town on a different SD card on same console, and trust me don't ever try doing that way to get another town. xD

LOL the exact same thing happened to me in early 2014. I wanted to see if you could have a second town on a different SD card, and it seemed like you could! But when I saved the new town..... well you know how that turned out

At this point I count it as a sort of blessing in disguise because the new SD card was much bigger so I didn’t have to keep swapping it out to switch between playing my animal crossing town and the rest of my games. Also it led to me finding this site in February 2014, to try and get my stuff back faster. I had a lot of fun on this site, and met some pretty cool people. So honestly I credit the event of losing my town for making me who i am today haha! At the time though... man I was devastated. It’s weirdly comforting to know that I’m not the only one whose curiosity got the better of them (my condolences abt ur town tho u_u)

Yeah l had to deal with that switching out SD cards to play other games. Boy that was annoying until l got my 2ds xl and life was better when l got a micro SD card 32gb to go with it.

Yup. 300+ hours of gameplay down the drain. It was absolutely horrifying and, to this day, I still don't know what caused it.

It's so weird because, like, in the title screen intro thing, I could still see my town as it was before, no difference at all. So, clearly, it still existed somehow in the data, right? But then I press start and that terrible message says my data's corrupted. It's awful and I'm glad save back-up is a thing now thanks to the online subscription.

I feel like I had? But, I think it might have just been the scare that I had. I did get that bubble that said my save data was corrupt. I don't remember how, but I think my NL town ended up being okay? I just remember being so scared, and then so relieved. It was probably 2016 or 2017.

I did heard a way there is to get the town back, but you have to go through all those files and stuff. But if you already started a new town on the same copy then it will be too late to get it back.
