I'm literally sobbing (not literally but I'm really bummed out). Zucker, whom I spent 7 million bells on, moved out possibly yesterday or the day before without me knowing ;_;
I was too busy studying for exams so I spent limited time on animal crossing AND NOW HE'S GONE AND I'M REALLY REALLY SAD BECAUSE HE'S MY MOST FAVORITE VILLAGER AND UHASDFKLSDHFJKASL I DON'T EVEN WANT TO TOUCH MY GAME I'M SO SAD :(

Has anyone ever lost their favorite villager and did they ever get them back?

It happens. I've lost Julian, Flurry, Boomer, and Drago and now I have to cycle through 16 villagers before I can get them back.

Oh man I'm literally so heartbroken right now. At least I have his picture :(

Now comes the intense cycling process and then money making to get Zucker back :(

Once. It was my fault and I knew it. I haven't lost a villager before then, and I haven't lost a villager since, even in my various cycling towns.

I lost Cookie, and that was the day... the titans invaded. Everyone had to be evacuated; the town was lost.

I've lost Ruby and Vesta but I was okay with it. Sure I was bummed out but they just stumbled upon my town by chance while Zucker I literally hunted reddit and TBT for hours trying to find him. Same with Stitches. If Stitches moves out then I'm just going to throw my 3DS away and cry :(

My favorite villager from the Animal Crossing series is Alfonso. He was my BFF in Wild World and I knew I needed him in New Leaf. I FINALLY got Alfonso from someone on this site about a year and a half ago. Right before his house went up in my town, my cartridge went missing. After about a year of it being missing, I had long since given up on finding it and had bought a 2nd copy of New Leaf. But one day my boyfriend magically found my first copy and I was seriously so happy to have it back even a whole year later.

I play my game for the first time and I finally have Alfonso, and I have him for about 5 months in my town. About 3 weeks ago, I had been really behind on playing my original town. I stopped playing for about a week and when I opened the game, Isabelle told me someone was having their last day in my town. It was Alfonso.

I couldn't stop him from leaving. There was nothing I could do but be mad at myself for being so neglectful. But he's gone and there isn't much I can do besides wait for him to cycle out. I was really upset that he moved without any notice, but since that has happened I have had some really cute villagers move in and it keeps me from being sad.

Hopefully you can find some new villagers to keep your spirits up :)

I lost Bob recently ;w; he was so cute it made me really sad. But then I got lily and omg she's such a sweetie that it makes the times that are bad... a little less bad.

Yup, Fauna. I don't remember what happened, I just walked into her house one day and found her in boxes... Sigh. I saw her today at the Main Street for the first time in a while and got sad again. D:

This is gonna bother me for a while :'(
I guess all I can do is focus on studying for now and then start cycling once I'm exam free.

I'm sorry that happened to you. This is why a lot write down the date of their last play date and change the date back when they are able to play.

sorry to hear that :'< this has happened to me twice before...and i have really learned my lesson on time-traveling now ;w;

No. The only accidental losses I've had were Eugene and Octavian and they weren't my absolute favourites so it was okay. I was bummed about Octavian but Chief is my resident cranky, and that meant I had room for another lazy (Papi <3).

I did move Chief out purposely because of his house placement and cycled through 16, so I was without him for a while, he's my favourite in town. I just recently finished and got him back though. c:

I lost 3 of my favorite villagers just because they moved out without warning.

And those are Shep (Twice...ughh), Francine, and Bluebear... ; ^ ;

I've never lost my ABSOLUTE favorite villager, but I've lost some of my most loved ones. Not lost, but I had to give them up due to plotting in horrible spots. They were Bam and Cherry. I'm actually thinking of giving away Kid Cat and finishing Bam's cycle to get him back (because I really loved him, Kid Cat is cute but Bam is just omg). The only one I truly accidentally lost was Rosie. I took a long break and when I came back she was gone. Luckily, there's a peppy I love just as much (if not more) than her, Bianca.

I hope Nintendo somehow gets notice of how sad people get when they lose their favourite villagers and reintroduce the mechanism to be capable of preventing someone from moving when he is already in boxes.

The only villager I've accidentally lost was Maple.
How small is the world? Exactly the same for me, after over one year playing I lost Maple. This truly pulled the rug out from under my feet. Animal Crossing always gave me a feeling of continuity and stability and then this...

I hope Zucker is in my void. I visited my friend in hopes that she'll get Zucker and hold him for me while I cycle :(

It's fine. You'll get him back, though It'll take a while. Plus at least you didn't spend anymore on him like 20 mill.
