I'm sorry for your loss. ;; Having a village move out unexpectedly can be really tough.
Hope the 16 villager cycle goes fast for you. <3
Anyway, I've lost a villager I held dear to me, and I couldn't really handle it. After that I played less and less until all the dream villagers I had worked so hard to get left. So I just lost interest for a while. Then, I restarted my town, and I'm working on getting a couple of the villagers I loved back. I'm kinda taking my time though, because I meet new villagers I didn't think I would like along the way.
Yes- I lost Clay due to the fact that I was on hiatus and couldn't remember the last time I played. When I started the game up... He was gone. He only left the square of dirt where his house was to remind me of him. I still miss him dearly to this day, but... I'm not willing to cycle him back in, as I also love Deli and Erik too much to pass them up.
I've lost both Rosie and Pashmina. Rosie I lost while doing the sixteen villager shuffle in order to get Pashmina back after I lost her the first time - then I lost her again after Rosie because I wasn't as knowledgeable about TTing as I am now. I was just going back and forth willy nilly and thought I was taking all factors into account but nah, I wasn't clued in like I thought I was. Bye-bye, babies.
Kidd I let go willingly, though it was bittersweet. He pinged me to move and I accidentally hit the "okay whatever" type option... and after I thought about it for a minute, I resolved not to try and convince him to stay in the following days. He probably was voided or ended up in someone else's town with all those weird letters we sent back and forth. (Oh man)
I'll ALWAYS miss Rosie. I absolutely adored her. Pash, too, but Deirdre has grown on me in her absence and I have Marshal and Klaus to distract me from missing Kidd too much.
I'm happy your friend is holding her Zucker for you while you cycle. Be more careful than I was! Make sure you have your facts straight and scour the forums for every bit of advice you can find. Good luck. ♥
I lost Felecity and Kyle? I wanted a full cat village with a few wolves; and they were the first cat and wolf villagers I've ever had, I only had Kyle for a week.
Unfortunately, yes! I lost Fang in December of 2013 just when I had decided I would keep him (he was one of my original 5 villagers in my town). Thankfully, I just got him back around a week ago after naturally cycling, and I managed to get his house in almost the exact same spot within 3 soft resets! Convenient!
I also lost Marshal, but it was half intentional/half not. I didn't like his plot anyway because he was a sudden move-in, so I wasn't upset when he moved. I'm currently cycling for him. Almost done though!
same!!! Tabby just moved out two days ago and I'm still sad over it asdfsdgfsdgh
well.. I've lost a lot of favorites, mostly due to lack of time playing because of school or too much TTing sighhh (currently trying to cycle for Henry though... huhuh)
Not a "favorite" villager but more of one I was trying to keep. This happened twice with Roscoe and Phoebe. I think this might have happened to my friend's Goldie too, but I forget what his favorite villager was.
yes ;~; dotty was one of my faves and after not playing for a few days, i logged on to isabelle telling me to say goodbye and i was like "??????? UM" and i ended up restarting my town.
I lost my game cartridge and I found it 2 weeks later and I lost my Marina I know how you feel. If he was your favorite villager you should cycle him back!
I think I've lost almost all of my favourite villagers. I used to try really hard to talk to people every day to make sure no one was moving and then to convince them to stay. It never worked, one slipped through, and since then I've stopped caring honestly. I had my dream town for at least a week, it existed that is all I care about.
The game isn't meant to have any large number of permanent residents. Maybe next game we can have more control over it...
