Did anyone else go way too hard yesterday?

I think I played solidly the whole day, I just got way more excited about the update than I expected :') Anyone else finding the new update addictive?

I didn't do hardcore time-traveling like others but I was going back and forth two days ahead. I did grab some hot items like the black impish wings and now my inventory is packed full of pumpkins, haha.

I didn't even turn my Switch on yesterday. Heard from some of the other staff about the new content not being available until Oct 1st so didn't bother!

I TT'd back and forth a day, and got all the DIY's available (the rest are available october 31st), and harvested about 300 pumpkins.

Maybe not TTing would keep me from sinking so many hours into this game >> I'm also considering setting up a 'parent' account to time lock my play

I definitely played for like 8 hours straight, and time travelled a couple days

I really love it, hope it will get me back more into the game. I planted some pumpkins, changed my eyes/skin(hope we can keep it forever ;; ), and bought a spooky table. I waited until today, actual 1st october for it cause I didn't play much before and only TT'd when moving in/out villagers.

I haven't TT'd during this update yet but I did go to two peoples islands before Oct 1 to buy pumpkin seeds and today I went to a couple friends islands to check out their shops. I'll likely TT later on so I can speed up some pumpkin harvests but probably nothing too crazy. The update has been fun so far Got a lot of my friends back into the game so it was nice hanging out with them in-game again... showin off our town pumpkin patches and running around for crafters

I've been playing for at least four to six hours when I play recently because I've been trying to get bells to move all of the buildings. I've also been in a super decorating mood but really low on crafting materials. But, I don't TT anymore and I just logged on to get my pumpkins today (and hear the lovely 6 AM music).

I don't cheat but I spent a long time yesterday making a grow area, to plant pumpkins.

I don’t time travel. At most, I received pumpkin starts from someone that does the other day, planted them and spent the remainder of the day trading.

It’s Oct 1st now and I guess my brain was so excited that it made me wake up at 6am to play the game. Definitely signs that I’m going to go way too hard with this.

I don't TT, so there wasn't much to do on my island. I did go visit someone who was on 10/1, so I bought pumpkins from Leif, a piece of candy, and the mage dresses. I won't plant my pumpkins until tonight (and Leif is on my island again - he was there with "normal" stuff yesterday) because I'm still figuring out how I want to lay my patch out.

I did get the skin and eye stuff today, will get candy from my shop, and probably pop over to a friend's for another piece of candy and look at her costume choices. It'd be nice if I could get a few DIYs in the can, so as to be ready for pumpkin harvest, but there's an entire month to go.

Just out of curiosity to those who TT - are you worried that getting everything from the update already is going to ruin the fun/expectation?

I didn't TT so there isn't really much to do... yet.

I already had the land prepared beforehand, so the first thing I did was to buy the pumpkin starts and start planting. It was raining so I didn't have to water them. Bought the Spooky item on display. Bought a candy. Got a Spooky recipe from a villager and got lucky to get another Spooky DIY from a balloon. Checked out Ables for stuff and that's it.

My friends and I were just talking about this! We spent like the whole day on and off between work getting together and trying to gather pumpkins and recipes and stuff from those who TT in our group. The rest of us also had cool stuff to offer from our Ables and stuff so it worked out! I felt like I was playing like 5x the usual amount I'd play in a day. I kind of got the vibe of the game when it first came out and everyone was trading/cataloging and having visits and needed things still. It was actually really nice!

I don't TT so the reason for my activity wasn't the update I was just in a random building mood and did most of the groundwork for my forest.

Today I spent a lot of time trying to relocate my bell trees so I could turn the old place into a pumpkin garden.
