Hey! :)

Did it ever happen to you? You really want a villager, he's one of your dreamies and you think he's very cute... But once he's actually in your town, you're totally disappointed, and you end up not even loving him?

This happened to me with Hamlet. I really wanted him, since I didn't like my original jock (Bam). My favorite animal specie is hamsters, and Flurry is my favorite villager ever, she's the cutest and the kindest. :D So, when I saw Hamlet, a cute little jock hamster, I really wanted him. But now that I have him, I'm kinda disappointed. He's not so cute, compared to Flurry. Also, having a jock, who's supposed to be strong and everything, as a little hamster... Didn't work well for me, haha. xD

Did this ever happen to you? :)

This has happened to me with a number of dreamies. More specifically, I was really disappointed with Stitches, Chrissy and Francine. As great as all of those villagers are, they weren't as great as what I expected. Because of this, I plan to move them out and replace them with villagers that I like better, but I still liked having those three in my town regardless.

I usually either get attached to a dreamie or get bored of them quick and end up not liking them at all. Sometimes just seeing the villager in a dream town is enough to make me change my mind.

I generally tend to always like my dream villagers, but I did have one experience where I acquired one and was ultimately not as pleased as I thought I'd be.

I was really interested in acquiring Whitney some months back because I felt like a wolf villager would fit in well in my horror-themed town, because, you know, werewolves. Of these, at the time, I was most intrigued by Whitney and set out to get her from the trade forums. It was simple and easy enough to find her, though I had a pretty big misstep along the way. When trying to get Fuchsia to move out to make room for Whitney, one of my absolute favorites, Eugene, decided to move out without telling me or any of the other villagers alerting me to any rumors. I was pretty bummed out by this, but hey, I'm still getting Whitney and I can keep trying to get Fuchsia out later.

Fast forward a bit and she's living in my town. While I never noticed it at first, the wolf designs really started to bug me on a visual level. It just looks kind of weird for them to not have any teeth when they have that long snout, which sounds silly, but nonetheless. It didn't really occur to me until I was looking at some of my alligator villagers and liked that they at least had a few fangs to add to the look. Aside from that, while Whitney looks good at certain angles, I hate how her eyes are looking to the side instead of straight on. Ultimately, I made the best of her presence since I went through the trouble of finding her, but I let her move out as soon as she wanted to. It worked out in the end, as I soon replaced her with Stitches, whose design I quite like.

Same with Hamlet, except I wanted him BECAUSE he's tiny and chubby but still dreaming about being a sports star (so cute). But I don't like him as much as I expected.
Also Bunnie, she's cute but then I wasn't really sad when she left.

I don't remember what exactly it was, but a peppy asked me to find people to sign a petition and it was something I strongly didn't agree with :/ Changed my view about them.

Kidd... I thought he was cool at first, but now, I know I made a HUGE mistake when getting him... He still haunts me to this day. ._.

Julian wasn't really a dreamie of mine, but when I had him in Sea Cove I just wanted him to leave -.-

Also Merengue wasn't as cute as most people had said. Although I miss her, not nearly as much as Marshal and Diana :(

Lily. Everyone seems to adore her, and yeah, she's probably the cutest frog in the game, but... Man, I just can't with the frogs.

Same with Chrissy. Her eyes just creeped me out, and the fact she had a curl on her forehead was...weird, to me. I get that she's probably designed to be wearing a hood, but yeesh.

in one my towns that i ended up resetting, i had julian, and he's one of the first that comes to mind when i think of villagers who disappointed me. he's one of the only smugs with a design i like, which is why i picked him in the first place, but idk. i just didn't care for him as much as i wanted to. i think the fact that NL's dialogue is so weak can really make the villagers get stale quickly.

Marshal. He's way too emo seeming.

And I wish I wouldn't have swapped out Kabuki for Tom, but there's no way to fix it now and that's alright.

Yeah, when I got Julian I was really psyched to get him, i mean he's a freaking unicorn for goodness sake. But I never felt like talking to him when I was out and about, unlike any of my other dreamies. Dont get me wrong he's still fabulous but I never was able to become his friend.
