Denying villager requests?

I'll always help a villager when they want fruit or sometimes want new furniture...but I don't like finding them bugs or giving them my weird furniture or shirts in my pockets (I try to keep their houses not original but actually decent looking) and I hate when they get all this crap in their houses...but does it lower friendship to deny the requests? Petitions and set time visits are hard for me too, as I don't have much free time...

They all wave at me when I use the mega phone though...Julian and Pango have barged into my house randomly...I think Rosie too. But I have no villager pics D:

Nope, the friendship status doesn't lower at all. I think Nintendo understands that people can be busy and won't always have time to do everything a villager asks for ( ? ▽ ` )ﾉ

As for villager pictures, accepting requests actually helps you to get the photos, so you should probably continue to help the villagers out. If you don't want to, you could always wait until April Fools Day to obtain all the pictures. :>

I dont usually accept requests unless its a villager i want a to get a picture off or it's super easy to do
I don't think it lowers their friendship rating

I am glad it doesn't lower, if they ask for a rare bug or fish right before a tournament I've said no if I dont have time. I only felt really bad when fang asked for a petition never had before but it was late and after leaving him hang for an hour I had to say no...

I say no when you have to arrange a time for them to come to your house. I always screw up on that
