Delivering a Present? Need advice!

Hi guys. I need some help. Hamphrey gave me a present to deliver to Tangy and I think I accidentally opened it because I received a bunch of gifts that morning. Whenever I approach Hamphrey he still remembers about the present but when I talk to Tangy there's not an option to deliver the present. What to do?!

You might have sold/etc. whatever the gift was if it's not giving you the option to hand it over already opened :/
