I have 2 switches, I made an island on one but ditched it when I got a new switch. If I delete that island will it delete my new island?

My son wants to start playing so that's why I need to know.

Each switch has an individual island connected or not it should not effect it

You mean the old island? You'll be fine by deleting it. It won't affect your new island.

Thanks for the replies. My son wants to start his own island so I wanted to make sure my island and all of my progress on my other switch wouldn't be ruined.

don't be worried. I know @Plainbluetees mentioned it, but the islands are not saved to your account. You'll be fine deleting it on your son's switch.
