I feel the exact same way, and I'm only a 90s baby haha. There are several reasons I don't have online and one of them is actually that I don't want to feel like I'm part of the problem and encouraging their dumb online-locking. I know it won't do anything but, I don't know it at least makes me feel better lol.oh my god you just described my feelings about games in a nutshell. I feel so completely GET OFF MY LAWN WHIPPERSNAPPERS about sooooo many things these days (YOUTHS!! *shakes fist at sky*) but I also just.... deal with it :| because I love visiting islands and whatnot so I'm also like. DEF part of the problem here. ALAS.
ughhh it's a tough line! I'm 34 and like... I absolutely can afford the fee and I LOVE. love the social aspect of AC so I ended up feeling like it probably was worth it overall for me on a personal level to just yoooo with it... but I really wish there was a way to pay for it and still somehow indicate that I think it's kinda nonsense that they've turned it into a paid feature. :/ ALAS.I feel the exact same way, and I'm only a 90s baby haha. i think they did. I found oranges on a NMT island and my fruit is apples.I thought you'd at least be able to send letters with items to friends without a Nintendo Online membership.. Nope, turns out you can't. They should at least make all fruits accessible through mystery islands if they're going to do this...
You can find your “sister fruit” on mystery islands, but it’s always the same fruit. For example, my native fruit is oranges and my sister fruit is apples, so those are the only ones I can ever find on mystery islands (except for coconuts ofc). Mom sends you another fruit at the beginning of the game too (for me it was cherries). The only way to get the others is to trade online.i think they did. Does sending villagers fruit in the mail work? I've heard some people say it works and others say they've never gotten fruit back or only got their native fruit. You can find your “sister fruit” on mystery islands, but it’s always the same fruit. In my experience, I've never gotten a fruit in the mail in NH (aside from the one from Mom), nor in return for actual gifts. Every day I used to send letters with wrapped fruit to all my villagers for that Nook Miles achievement and never once received a fruit from any of them in return. Nintendo really wants you buy the online membership. What annoys me the most is how all the items in Nook's are locked to a certain color on your island.Does sending villagers fruit in the mail work? Dang, my favourite fruit in the game are apples so I guess I'll never have them unless mom sends me another fruit. Or unless I get online. But whether I get it or not I still think we shouldn't be FORCED to. Like if they want people to use their online they should add some fun stuff to it rather than lock away stuff we could do before for free or without needing to connect to the internet. Also not everyone enjoys playing online with strangers in case Nintendo doesn't know. Also why does sending letters to your villagers not increase friendship points wtf
My sister fruit is pears and that's the fruit I got from my in game mom, so I only got 2You can find your “sister fruit” on mystery islands, but it’s always the same fruit. When it comes to what is locked behind online play, I think the most annoying thing Nintendo did was color-lock most items (especially the Nook Mile ones) which made it hard to decorate the town if you want a specific color scheme. I do realize there is a chance to get items from balloons, but that is only possible BY CHANCE. Even then, you still have to go other people's islands if you want a specific Nook Miles item variant.
When it comes to the fruit, I think it is possible to obtain them from villagers because I could have sworn I got a non-sister foreign fruit from a villager before (I believe it was an orange while my sister fruit is pears).
Like I've wanted the infused water dispenser for so long and FINALLY. Lobo was crafting it. but you need fruit from other towns which I can't access. This is nothing new for animal crossing considering wild world had things blocked off unless you played online, but to be fair you didnt have to pay to play with other people and the game wasn't $60. :|
