Alright, so I got Skyward Sword, where I named my player Link.
He named his by his actual name.
He did the same with Twilight Princess, Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks, and Ocarina of Time.

So I just want to know with games where they have defaults (Like Zelda) if you keep the default or change it to your name

I prefer the default name, I just can't stand it if he doesn't have his real name, dunno why.
For games with main characters with no default name, like Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor, I just put them the name of the game.

Me too... Only exception was in one of my pokemon games I think I named the guy Ash instead of Silver or Red or whatever he was named.

It really depends on the game for me. Link and Epona will always be Link and Epona for me, I just CAN'T change their names! When there isn't a default or I hate the default, I usually go with my name.
