A response to the Writing vs. Typing. Do you prefer to write/type in cursive or in print? Can you write and read cursive, do you think it should be taught in schools? I had to learn cursive in elementary school and I hated it. I used to be able to write it but now I can barely read it.

I prefer print. If we're taking tests, though, we MUST write in cursive otherwise it's minus five or ten points.

Well, I don't really prefer.
When I write it's a mix of both.
I can read those doctor's ones how it just looks like a scribble.
And, I don't see much of a point of cursive being taught in schools.

Print preferably, but eventually I'm going to need to re-learn cursive. They made this big deal about it in Elementary School and I've never really needed it since. So I find it somewhat hard to read.

^This

The only thing I write in cursive is my signature, but I honestly can't even remember the last time I printed my name. I sign all my papers in school and stuff.

We were taught it in Elementary school, but I never use it. My handwriting is a weird print-cursive hybrid. All my letters are in print, but I connect some letters, like in cursive.

^ This all the way, that's exactly how I feel.

Never learned in Elementary and somewhat know how to write my first name but not my last. Plus none of my teachers care if you write print or not.

My print is a sloppy mixture between cursive and print
I can read and write cursive, and my cursive is pretty but I prefer my version of print.

I can write and read printed letters, but I tend to make them ugly and take me more times.
I prefer cursive. It's much faster to write than print. My only catch is chance that letters can't be easily readed by someone else.

I only use cursive to write my name on all my school work. Other than that, I don't use it nor has it been a necessity at any time in high school. It was necessary in elementary school because they thought it would be necessary later.
